@noahsarcooo what happens in Iran has nothing to do with islam????? with all the respect.... Islam is all over Iran!! Islam is a dangerous religion.. it's a disease!!!
What is happening in Iran is exactly what is expected from a Muslim government. Don't forget when Arab Muslims took over Iran back in 600 AD, they burned all cities, libraries and killed everybody on their passing ways. Islam held Iran's progress back for centuries back then and again now. Islam is nothing but a cancer that needs to be removed from the face of the earth.
The great dilema of Baha'i religion is that they have broken with Islam. Originally it was a Sufi inspired reform movement of Shia Islam, but they broke with Islam taking many rituals with them.
If they hadn't broken with Islam, perhaps there would have been no space for those people that use Islam today to justify their ways of suppressing people.
Everything that Baha'i faith is, is taken from aspects of Islam, but they deny being Muslims, because that's politically correct in the west!
i feel so dumb about not knowing the troubles in the middle east. but i will educate myself about the situation and hope that good will come to us all. peace and love guys
@ZionistsLie That will not end the problem, will only create more injustice, than justice, don't you see? this is a wakeup call, and those who choose to sleep - let them do that.
You know I hear a lot of people talking about how they object to Islam in Iran.
As a Baha'i, I do not. In fact, I object to the lack thereof. Those who claim to represent the faith of Muhammad but practice the deeds of Abu Jahl are the worst enemies of Islam.
Even more than the Baha'is who suffer in Iran, my heart aches on behalf of sincere Muslims in the world, unacquainted with the Baha'i faith, whose faith is mistreated by those who commit injustice in Islam's name.
@nema1218 Islamic Republic... I hope for the sake of all Iranians, Iran won't always be Muslim. You're going to come out and say something about Arabic fools taking over the country and ruining Islam's integrity, True. However, Islam is Arabic. I also hope Arabs will not always be Muslim. not that any country or ethnicity can be anyways.
+ it is unfortunate people in this country are suffering in such ways.
@MrSydneymate - Many do, for the sake of their families, so they can run a business without harassment and allow their children to go to school. But should they have to?
If it were your country which were treating your children in such a manner, imprisoning or killing your friends, desecrating the holy sites of you faith and the graves of your family, would you so casually dismiss it as 'simple'?
@yakov321 - I believe I was referring to innocent Baha'is, but I would like to stop you right there and say that generalizing the situation and vilifying Muslims who are in the vast majority innocent. Some of the most outspoken defenders of Baha'is I have ever met are Muslim.
Letting injustice turn to bitterness and hatred only perpetuates it, and causes more injustice. We must not judge innocent Muslims for the crimes of others, for that harm shall revisit more and more innocents.
The Baha'i Faith originates in Iran and has its world centre in Israel. It is a peace loving world religion which teaches unity, justice, peace and love. It does not get involved in party politics. It is a faith which unites all peoples, cultures and religions.
"Yet so it shall be; these fruitless strifes, these ruinous wars shall pass away, and the `Most Great Peace' shall come."

Baha'is believe that peace is inevitable. Let us all choose peace!
Thank you Shohreh for caring about humankind, things have to change in Iran. They cannot continue to kill innocent people or imprison and torture them. I am glad America is showing their concern.
If you strive to put your fellow man before your race, creed, money, ego etc etc you are a Bahai already. Let us remember the basic truth that Bahai just like Christian,Muslim,Jew etc etc is only a human name given to a divine/spiritual universal force.
True followers of the universal divine force that we name God are united in spirit just as they always have been and always will be.
The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens.

one does not have to be a bahai to defend the rights of the bahais. there are many good human beings who become upset by seeing the rights of other people being taken away from them. this lady must be one of them.

@Donaddison95 : The Bahai faith was invented 150 years ago by British intelligence to destabilize Iran. Most of the followers don't know this - but that's how cults work and British intelligence has exploited this phenomenon. Do some research.
@ZionistsLie - Do not the Christians and Jews make similar accusations about His Holiness Muhammad and the Qur'an? Believe me, as someone who has done a fair deal of refuting those accusations I see little difference between theirs and yours.
Here's a question: why, if wanting to destabilize Iran, would Baha'u'llah have turned down the position of minister in the Shah's court to teach the Babi faith openly, when he could have covertly caused much more damage from a position of power?
@PeterJDeer: Pure fiction - Baha'u'llah was imprisoned and exiled. I have nothing against you personally, but since your prophet is from only 150 years ago and appeared after being groomed by British intelligence, you should write to the Iranian government and ask them - They will tell you the truth.
Peter, I am the new Baha'u'llah - you should follow me. God told me you should put a bucket on your head and dance naked in the street.
@ZionistsLie - Ridicule such as yours is an old, cheap tactic used by people without legitimate arguments, and it does not impress me.
As for asking the Iranian government, their position regarding Baha'u'llah does not deny that He was a member of the Persian nobility, that His father Mirza Burzug was a minister in the court of the Shah and that Baha'u'llah was offered such a position as well, which He declined.
You have failed to answer either of my questions. It is has not gone unnoticed.
