I can see how learning bass first would make the 6 string guitar easier to learn. The bassist is usually working on rythem and timing off the drums. Guitar sometimes rythem sometimes fills and sometimes a tangent. Bass would better teach the fundamentals. I should have started on a bass.

cool man. is there a drums proram in the background (keyboard)? sorry I'm not an expert. but if there is, I suggest you turn it off and just play "pure" tunes. I don't know the correct expressions. what I mean is: more melody, less forced rhythm, please try it, I have the feeling you would then sound even better.
