Nortekzmc, i was in a trip to poland also with my schoolmates and let me tell you, that even though we were at the camps and each day we were supposed to go to another place regarding the holocaust we had our free, limited time to tour and buy and i truly loved the place, especially warsaw - b e a u t i f u l city! the people were kind and beautiful also i might say ;)
anyway, the point of the trip is to see and learn about our history but i definitely loved the places we'd been to.

Because they want blame still Poles on their murders. Zhydy have no life but blame whole world for their problems. Many in my town hate Jews, and we don't help them either.

I unintentionally came across this video, and I agree with 34ms. I regret not visiting Poland with my classmates two years ago (I'm an Israeli), but nevertheless I don't like the idea of focusing only on the Holocaust, often ignoring rich, long Jewish history in Poland. We should remember WW2, but by no means should we forget Jewish life in Poland before it all happened.
It's the first time for years.. I checked JT box, sorry. My country is Poland and I consider myself as a patriot so I am polish Jew. It is the part of my roots but I have also Ukrainian and Polish in my family :) There are some, answering the question.
Also, just near the cathedral we had second the biggest church in my city, it is protestant, I'm not sure but it's Lutheran-auxburg church. Unfortunately all, synagogues were demolished by Nazi Germans,.. not poles. There is still empty place and a huge poster of the biggest (equal big) synagogue near my place. Poles try to commemorate Jews after independence (20 years ago) in all forms, now the huge (more 300mln $) museum of polish Jews are building in Warsaw, exampled only.
@34ms@34ms 6 million people were brutally de-humanized and murdered, children shot in the head, starved to death, sent to slavery, beated and worked in bone freezing temperture, naked. This is the most important place in the world. It is a great reminder of anti-semitism, a great reminder of human hatred, of propaganda, of conscious. 6 million is a number we could never even start to comprehend. This is the holocaust and I promise you it will never ever happen again.
