linux on a pc is much better then any windows os, but.. I still like my mac.. and my pc.. running linux.. I think they both are good in their own right.. even though mac is still a wee bit overpriced.. I mean I have an original apple 2, a computer over 20 years old that still runs proficiently.. so apple does make long lasting quality.. but a 13" macbook pro for 1200 is.. well.. steep to say the least.. and it only goes up from there. But I love both.. so whatever.. fuck all the fanboys..

you know why mac has less issues as far as spyware and shit is because nobody uses mac, if mac had as many users as windows then it would have just as many issues as far as third party software - which comes from third party's because Microsoft does not manufacture computers, all computers using windows are going to have third party software... unless you build your own rig like i do and save hundreds of dollars and have a machine that is 10 times more powerful... ohh and W7 kicks ass.

I use PCs and Macs, and I don't think Apple has been doing much better then Microsoft as far as unwanted features, which is why I still happily use Windows XP and Mac OS X Tiger.

@bfedorick if you ask me apple limits the function of all of its products, which is why i do not support apple, why would i buy an ipod with limited storage? no external memory?! fuck that! iphone? same deal, no i got a wp7 it came with 8GB internal and i bought a 32GB EXTERNAL card now ive got damn near 40GB, and wifi tethering, same deal with the ipad, no ability to increase storage, no true usb host, apple does these things on purpose they force you to spend $100 for a few gigs of mem

After watching these commercials I'm glad I never switched to Mac, I wouldn't want to get a Virus, or have to reboot every 2 seconds, download drivers, update my hardware with a new version of the OS.. that's kinda messed up i mean with a pc you can always upgrade hard drives while macs can be a pain i mean i can upgrade my old pc to any size hard drive i like and my friends mac that's 3 years newer can only use a 40 gig or lower plus it can only be certain types and those things are made almost upgrade-proof so i don't see this being realistic though vista IS a ram whore but im still a pc (i just keep all my stuff on xp lol)

Go to any PC manufacturer, show us the same guides.

Oh and... Remember the 504Mb HDD problem with PCs? Macs never had it! (Was a BIOS problem ^^) And the 8Gb? And the 32Gb one? Neither!

Well if you try to install the latest mac os on a first generation imac without upgrading memory you will get the same results, totally biased, not surprise coming from apple, funny commercial tough they are masters of selling PC hardware at luxury prices and making believe people that their systems are very different so they deserve recognition.

You're missing the big picture.

It's not about the hard drive space, thought it's absolutely unforgivable that Vista requires, minimum, 15GBs of space for installation. It's the processor, RAM and graphics that's the problem. PCs bought while in the confusion of the XP-Vista transition 2 years ago can only run Vista Home Basic.

Let's not forget the ridiculously high requirements for installing Vista by that time, and this ad came in that time.

@razvan1980 mac is not bloated. The first pc I ever had came with XP and I remember having to install and update a lot of shit, which ate the time was fun because It was my first computer ever. But then it was just a pane after every format I did to it, cause I would always get a lot of adware and spyware. then I got a mac and the only new thing I installed on it practically out of the box was flip4mac so It could play WMV files. that was it.

@geovanni05 Mac is good for specific uses, thats it, there is not disputing mac being great for picture / video / audio editing, hands down mac has that shit on lockdown and i love using mac for that purpose, but thats about it, as far as a personal computer, i will take my laptop duel booting W7 & ubuntu. if you want a super light OS with like zero chance of viruses get a ubuntu. I installed ubuntu on one of my netbooks and it runs super quick i love it! ohh and its free...
