Hey you guys, I agree with you all. I have never never been a fanatic in my life. But, hey, i am one of you now. The same thing that I did, listen to the original singer of the songs like Stand Up for Love, Listen, etc. I do not know those songs and as you said it doesn't interest me either...but now even at work, I open YT just to listen to Charice songs. As soon as I get home I open YT and listen again and again to Charice. At first, I thougth it's only me. I found out I was not alone.

I AGREE WITH THE REST, when Charice sings this song, it just makes one stop and be inspired. She brought "life to the song," a lot of passion and excellent vocals making it into one of a kind. you're right, i'm been into hard rock all my life, my favorite bands were nirvana, aerosmith, metallica and many many more bands that you wouldn't call easy to the ears, but when i saw charice in youtube, there was just something in her that made me addicted to her, i don't know what it is, but her voice makes me teary sometimes when i hear her sing, I don't know how she does it..

me am into korn, pantera, type O-...etc...well metal is fueled by raw emotion...it demands an uncompromising command on stage...and charice has that...i have yet to find someone from mainstream music that has that unyielding stage presence...her passion for singing is unbelievable...she sings not just for popularity/money but for the sheer love of it...something inherent to every metal artist...there r many parallels but the most obvious reason is her exquisite voice..

Same here, dimapasco23.. I dig rock music, my fave bands are Pearl Jam,Nirvana,Coldplay etc.. And I entirely agree with you, there is really something special about Charice. Never been really a fanatic of a pop/rnb singer. But her voice really touches my heart and soul. I can say that Charice can really touche a tough man's heart. And I love her for that.

there is something about charice that amazes me when she sings them. i've never heard of the song listen, or stand up for love until charice sung them, and i tried listening to the original songs that charice's has covered and they don't interest me, they don't get me hooked but with charice, i could listen to it like a hundred times and wont be tired of it.
