  • Cordelia: Sebastian, where are you?

Sebastian: Go away Cordelia. We're not decent.

    Cordelia: oh *beep*

    Hahahaha! XD

  • This is great! Where did you get this?

  • Those people put together one fantastic movie.

  • Thx for uploading, made me rofl! Cheered me up when I was a bit down =P

Great outtakes; btw, sorry but was does Jeremy say @ 3.26? I can't catch it :(

I love seeing cast & crew blow off steam, relaxing, and watching their camaraderie. And I have to wonder how much was spent on champagne? lol.

  • Thx for uploading, made me rofl! I was laughing so hard I teared up =P

Great outtakes; btw, sorry but was does Jeremy say @ 3.26? I can't catch it :(

  • LMAOOO!!!! "I love him" ...*PUSH* hahahahah!!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Jeremy!!! He's now as gorgeus as he was in this great video

  • Waugh fans are Mitford fans so stop by channel thinazzabird to hear readings of her HIGHLAND FLING they are funny, thank you

  • What a fantastic video...Cordelia saying 'fuck', the appearance of 'Beryl' and massive amounts of champagne wasted...

Looks like the whole experience would have been a hell of a lot of fun to go along with all the hard work.

  • just about the best thing ever made for tv, granada did awonderful job . nice to see jeremy taking time to chill out. he put his heart and soul into his role of charles ryder. the best actor to have ever graced our screens. plus he is gorgeous.

  • A wonderful movie, and book, with excellent bloopers. lol.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Cordelia - "oh..FUCK!"

  • nice to see this finally. :) thanks for uploading!

  • Muy bueno, las escenas, el ambiente entre el equipo. Realmente genial. Gracias por compartirlo con todos.

  • Good god, HOW much champagne did they get through?! Lol! Love Anthony Andrews and Jeremy Irons, they're hilarious! Silly string, champagne, punting (read: Swimming) in Cambridge, their penchant for saying 'f**k' every ten seconds when they get their lines wrong... love it! Hehe!

  • thank you for putting this up : ) i love outtakes, especially on seemingly serious things like this. i just finished watching them all today (i borrowed it from the library) and i think im going to find uni life very boring now...

  • Very free with the champagne, aren't they??!!

As Anthony Andrews said : "...many a late night was had..", probably why they kept fluffing their lines!

  • I am only halfway through episode ten at the moment, but watching this was fantastic. It was brilliant to see so much happiness and banter on the set. I love the english way of saying "fuck!" when they've forgotten a line. I can sympathise in a way, being irish. :) Thanks so much for uploading! was this off the dvds??

  • Ahh my pleasure! Yes it was off the dvds, from the sounds of it you're not watching them off the dvds? It's a pretty good investment, I got mine for NZ$50 from Borders :D

  • nah, i'm watching them online - student living! but i see they're only £19 on amazon, so I may invest in them this summer!

  • heya, ive just read the book and was looking to watch it online too but cant seem to find it, would you be able to give me the address so i caould watch it too?

  • good outtakes, great series.

  • lol @ mrs muspratt

  • Brilliant and what a good adaptation of the book, brilliant acting and wonderful.

  • After watching the series, I know now what was missing from my college years-- a manservant!

"I say, Wilkins, be a good fellow and refill my bong for me, will you?"

    "Very good, sir."

  • HAHAH!

    That's brilliant, damn right! ;)

  • I just finished the series tonight. Damn I wish it never ended. Watching this helped me get closure, thank you!

  • wow, they love spraying stuff, yeah? haha, looks like they had fun on that

  • Thank you very much. I now have to go and buy the DVDs.

  • ok the silly string was hysterical... what 30 cans of it? lol

  • The guy (Samgrass) who keeps saying "Ah Charles" was kind of annoying in the series

  • Honestly! The decadent spirit of Brideshead really does seem to have infected the young actors and crew here! All this champagne celebration, homoerotica and cross dressing! I doubt if Waugh himself could have thought of much better! Nikolas Grace was particularly good as Beryl Mussprat, very convincing, almost frightningly so! Thanks for posting this! Very interesting.

  • Ermmmm, Nickolas Grace wasn't Beryl Muspratt. He was Anthony Blanche (and did a sterling job at that).

  • Yes I know...what happened was that I thought it was Nikolas Grace dressed in drag doing Beryl Mussprat in the outtakes, but now I look it was actually some bloke called Simon Howard. But believe me I do know. I am one of these saddo's that also knows that Waugh based the character of Anthony Blanche on Harold Acton and Brian Howard....

  • 'oh christ! oh my god oh my god!' *hysterical laughter* that made my day

  • this is sooo funny! they really like dumping champain on each other dont they?

  • Yeah, I did a double take and saw "hey, doesn't his son look like this?". By the way, thanks for posting this clip. Great stuff!

  • Gee, Charles Sturridge really does look like a spitting image of what his son (Tom) is now. Love the antics they got up to on Jeremy's birthday!

  • OMG I COMPLETELY AGREE! I was sitting watching the behind the scenes and thought oo the director is cute, looks exactly like that kid from Being Julia... lo and behold, twas his father!

  • Anthony Andrews is a menace with champagne bottles. It's like heaven with champagne, *giggle*

  • Yeah, I had a good laugh there - he really looked like he was enjoying himself. Quite a prankster ;).

  • "This is my director.. I love him"

  • This excellent photoplay was filmed with so much propriety, pomp and circumstance, that these fabulous outtakes are a genuine treat! Thank you!!

  • thankyou so much!!!! Jeremy's birthday bit was wonderful! xxx

  • who dressed up like a woman?

  • Lol I'd like to know too

  • The Hon. Simon Howard, the owner of Castle howard (he's one of the Howards, Earls of Carlisle):

  • @alooflyexposed

It was Simon Howard as Mrs Beryl Muspratt.

  • thank you so much for that!

  • Love this dvd! Thanks for adding. Love the clip from Jeremy's birthday.

  • he looks so young doesn't he ..hes still quite good looking ,isn't he???

  • Lol yes gloriously young then, only 30! Lol well we like to think he's still good looking ;)

  • yeah, he is still good looking...he just looks like he doesn't sleep for ages.

Jeremy Irons is my favourite actor and Brideshead one of my favourite series, thanks for this!

  • Thank you loads - this is probably my fave thing from the anniversary dvd.

  • Hehe, yes same here I think it's brilliant! All the little tricks they get up to on set...

  • They certainly looked like they were having fun! :o)

Anyway, should you feel like posting some more clips from any of the episodes, that would really REALLY be appreciated!
