Dr. Dedupe using the same old concept into storage. For example - when the two companies merges, redudant staff is always removed, or in other words, deduplication happens. Suppose there are 100 staff from company A doing same job as another 100 staff from B company, and the maximum staff you can keep for that profile after merger is 100. Then, you layoff 50 from A and 50 from B, hence you save money on total 100 redundant staff. Ultimately its all about saving cost.
