The way this was played may not have quite the same feel as Metallica, but I believe the composition is such that if it were played to a "classical" audience, it could be appreciated. Imagine this being played 150-200 years ago and the response it would garner. In this way, one of today's greats can be compared to those of the past.

Cliff was amazing, but so obviously are the rest of them. Master of Puppets is one of the best albums ever written. I am always floored when I here their songs played in a classical style and Cliff had to be trained in classical music to write shit like this.

I always knew Cliff was pretty gifted musically. From when he was a part of metallica and influended their music on master of puppets and ride the lightning, the songs had such an epic feel. Not saying their other stuff is bad, but those two particular albums always take me on a journey whenever I listen to them.

Whenever I hear renditions like this , I can simply say Cliff was a musical genious and I am surprised how well metal carries over to an orchestra. May Cliff RIP.
