  • According to unofficial records, whilst helping by marshaling this event, avoiding you lot on the runway and your quarter mile blasts, lol, the clickers ( devices for counting the amount passing the start point ) unofficially gave up at 30,000 bikes, so who knows how many took part in the end, needless to say it was monumental and will always be a poignant memory of by biking memoirs. Well done, lets hope we can do it again.!

  • Are you guys bringing it back for 2012?

  • Hi jaqnets, Yes mate next bike right behind you.

Seeing the video was as though my eyes were the camera.

you captured EVERY little detail that I saw.

If I had not been so close I would not have seen it as it you did.

A Very moving day, Thanx for being my ride buddy. Tony.

  • @vt600vlx - you were two up on a red bike with twin headlights, wearing an orange hi-vis vest? Pleasure to ride with you! Gary

  • I am getting a very slight slow frame uprate on my laptop in 720p which makes it ever so slightly jerky, is that down to my laptop? and no shots of going into town of WB was there a reason for that, flat battery etc, after looking at your video, I want one, not sure about getting it in UK or US, just wondering how much tax and vat I would have to pay on it to bring it into the UK, thanks again for posting good quality vid.

    Regards Keith

  • @keithvmx1200 - Not jerky on my pc, but sometimes I do have to wait for parts of the video to load. It depends on what time of day it is - evenings are the worst as both Europe and the USA are on line at the same time. Try it in the am. Yes, I ran out of battery before getting to WB my fault. I think the camera has a 2.5 hour battery life so it normally should not be a problem. Good point about tax and VAT if importing. That could be 10% import tax and 17.5% vat, so maybe not worth it.

  • Was it the HD Wide Version, how much and where did you buy it from.

    Thanks

  • Hi Keith, Yes, it was the wide HD version - actually the model is called the Motorsports Hero. I made a mistake by buying it in the UK, thinking I would need to do that becuase of the voltage and to get the right plug. However they only charge via a USB so that would not have been a problem. Given the same situation again, I would buy it online from the USA and have them ship it to the UK. In the UK they are about £300, but in the USA they are $300 - a 30% saving!!

  • Remarkable Video. I must have been right behind you.

  • @vt600vlx - did you mean actually right behind me - like the next bike?

  • I rate this video high, well worth watching, just like being on the bike, picture quality is the best I have seen so far.

    Regards Keith

  • Thanks Keith,

I like positioning the camera so some of the bike is seen, because as you say, it makes it feel like you are on the bike. THe great picture quality is why I bought that particular camera.

  • Thanks for that Jagnets - i think i'll be getting myself one of those based purely on your video....thanks for posting mate!

  • Cheers Jagnets - is that the HD version then? (sorry - i'm fascinated at the quality).

  • @MrCryian - Yes the HD version. I went for the HD Motorsports Hero version. It is really very good - the end results are stunning.

  • Great quality video - was it a flip video?

  • @MrCryian - I filmed this using a GoPro camera mounted on my handlebars

  • Hey jagnets, thanks for the excellent video!

  • @Sc1r10us - you are very welcome!
