This was a great review and very helpful i am getting this gun and i got .28gram bbs for it and i was wondering if you had tried it with the .28gram bbs and if so does it make a big difference in fps and i was wondering if it had adjustable hopup

Are you kidding I got mine for 50 bucks of evike and it works like shit. I tried to use it at an airsoft war and it kept on jamming and going straight up. Also you can't adjust the hop up witch is already at the max amount of hop up. I liked it at first then I used it. Do yourself a favor and don't get it

I found that the L96 has a fatal flaw.. If you do not pull back the Bolt correctly then the pin that allows you to fire, will fall out..... Leaving the gun virtually unusable.

@flipside1985fuck Only metal. Airsoft BBs are 6mm wide and plastic and Regular BBs are 4.5mm and metal. So the pumpmaster shoots metal bbs, not plastic. BB guns are not airsoft guns. You're going to want to look on airsoftstation[DOT]com, airsoftgi[DOT]com, or airsoftpost[DOT]com if you want an airsoft gun, they only sell airsoft guns and airsoft related supplies.

@flipside1985fuck Well, you must be new to airsoft because the Red Ryder is a BB gun (AKA it uses metal BBs), not an airsoft gun. But I wouldn't reccomend getting the desert eagle, it's not like the real gun where it shoots 50 Cal bullets, and after all it's a pistol, which aren't great beginner gun. Get some sort of rifle would be good. Just make sure it uses plastic BBs.

@flipside1985fuck No, first off it's too powerful to be used for an airsoft game, it's meant for targetshooting and possibly hunting small varmants. Second, it shoots 4.5mm BBs when airsoft guns use 6mm bbs, so you can't shoot airsoft bbs out of it. You're going to need to get an airsoft gun if you want to play airsoft and a bb gun of some sort if you want to hunt small varmants (squirrels, rabbits) or target shoot (though you can shoot targets with an airsoft gun, nevermind that part).

@goldcoke85 well where i go for airsoft they have game types in the town part that are for pistol/shotgun only. For that reason i am going with shotgun. Both are good though depending on what kind of shotty you buy. Its more prefference and for your area. M16 will get you a more outdores type of combat. but for cqb a shotgun is great. Like i said all preference.

@blooodymonkey well, i own this gun (different barrel, tightbore shorter) anyways, but yeah, l96 are good starter guns. however, i (being a nolifer at sniping, hence just really really good *not bragging*) id say this one. point one, it has a strong spring that takes some work to pull, can be a pro or con, pro being that u get really use to it and can use any other gun that uses a bolt, WAY fast. any this is exremely accurate. ive hit a friend from 60 yards with this thing, its all in ur taste:/

I own this gun myself and this is a very good gun for your money. Like he said, it is as accurate as hell and stings like hell too. I shot my brother close range, almost point blank and it left a nice blister. Don't wanna play around with this. Though, the part you failed to mention was the large mag. You need to put a fixer into the gun rather than the shells to make the large mag work. My fixer broke but don't worry, you can purchase spare parts easily. Overall, this is a great gun.
