@carloskuan Haha did you not watch that final? The French were all over them. Yes, the Brasilians are an extremely talented team, but that doesn't mean there isn't talent on other teams. Plus, the cohesion and passion of the French, and chemistry and responsiveness between players meant that their thoughts were one, which will beat a couple of star players doing their own thing any day. Lastly, France had Zidane :)

@lordnecro82 I'm not making excuses, but the fact is that Brazil wasn't 100% focused on the final. Starting from Ronaldo's seizures to all the pressions put up in order to make him play the final, the team was not itself that day. I'm not saying that France wouldn't win the match, but surely it wouldn't be so one-sided like it was. Nevertheless, France'98 was a fine played tournament, maybe the last one we had.
