people have the R4i and AceKard 2i they both work. but acekard 2i had a problem the dsi wouldn't show the card, but they fixed it. if you get one now it should work. (0_0).

What Flashcard should I get? I have a SDL but I have read that R4DS has quit producing and that most of the flash cards on the market are currently fakes and can destroy your DS.

what have you heard about utilizing the SD card slot on the NDSi for performing the same function, as well as emulators and homebrew?

I have heard of a few teams trying to pull this off by means of custom firmware it's looking possible but you may have to use a Flash card to install it unless they can find an exploit which allows you to copy the installer by Data Management as a fake signed DSi channel
