You can hear the gravel coming through in his voice that is clearly from abuse and we all know that it's nowhere near as good these days but it brings a real attack to his voice. I miss this Liam. In North America Don't Go Away was the second single off the album. The oasis ballads were their biggest commercial hits..ie. Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger....so they hedged their bets on this for promotion.

It worked, but then they didn't really get another hit in North America after this song. Just a few spins of whatever new single came along.
