Cyprus shouldn't be in Eurovision anymore. I can't unterstand why sometimes people from Cyprus say "Greece always has good songs. Thats because we give them 12 points." I can understand it, if Greece had good songs. But this isn't ever so!! TAKE CYPRUS OUT OF EUROVISION SONG CONTEST !!!

@Ronolulu1 I agree with you. I don't complain about "Scandinavian block voting", becuase frankly, the Scandinavian countries have voted for each other since Denmark, Sweden and Norway had their debuts in 1957, 1958 and 1960, respectively. And besides, Scandinavia is part of Western Europe.

I also don't complain about Cyprus and Greece exchanging points. Instead, I make fun of it. The annoyance has became a Eurovision tradition. :P

This happens with many countries, but Greece and Cyprus are tied up...Cyprus wants to be a part of Greece and Greece wants Cyprus because we have the same origin, we speak the same Greek language, we have the same music taste, we love each other, we are have the same coulture...And Greece votes many other countries not only Cyprus...On the period 1981-2009 Greece as gave 137 points to Spain, and 98 to UK...Greece is in Balkanian Block but gives points and in other countries.

The average points between the UK and Ireland from the years 1990 - 2000 (this was at the peak of Irish sucess) was only 5.5 points per year. its even lower now at only 4.5 points per year exchanged.

The Greek Cyprus average of points per year in the whole of ESC is 10.2 points per year and Azerbaijan and Turkey are 12 points per year (Since Azerbaijan joined in 2008 its been 12's all around)

Did Finland even give points to Sweden this year? Finland does'nt give many points to their neghtbours. Ukrain gives allways 12 points to Russia. Same thing vith Bellarus. Montenegro gives 12 points to Serbia. Boznia&herzegovina gives 12 points to Serbia and Serbia gives 12 points to Boznia&Herzegovina. That's the way it goes. It does'nt matter if the song is stupid or dull. Only the country where it's from matters.

Dear Europeans, Greece is not just "our neighbour" as you put it, Greece is our own self, our flesh and bone, our Mother Country, the Begining and the End of everything. Without Greece there can be no Cyprus. Even when "their" song is mediocre we still vote 12 points, not because we must or expect something in return, but because we love them so much! And "they" always do the same for "us", for the same reasons!
