Do not forget your place in Hawaii. Beautiful, powerful and intriguing it is, but there are Hawaiians who live and practice their culture. They are not ancient. They are here alive today. Do not forget the historical roots of the "free for all" representation that American racism has forged and thrown onto Hawaii nei. Do not forget Kanaka Maoli and their struggles to liberate themselves physically and spiritually in their ancestrial home.
There is a love deep within me for all of humanity that I cannot ignore.
I am becoming more and more conscious of my responsibility to love and support the souls around me.
God, You have put us together with the same mission: to overcome the illusions of fear and limitations, and to discover the divine love and radiance that we are.
Thank You for creating us so individual and infinitely one at the same time.
Aloha all...;) It is good to see the Children of the Law of One's teachings making it's resurgence back into the thoughts of people. This is ancient teachings and has been preserved throughtout time. We are all infinite awareness, and just need to remember who we really are not the biological body, mind vehicle that we believe us to be..:) Keep creating or manifesting good thoughts as these creations will enhance all's living and perhaps one day we will again witness a golden age.
Have been away for a week and was delighted to see this really exciting intercourse about our video. The very fact that you all are discussing this issue with such passion is a tribute to the success of the video Tom and I made together. Martin Luther King Jr. said: Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is an attitude. I say: it belongs to no culture alone, but to us all. It is the key to peace and love among us all.
Kiaora greetings, i went away to learn about forgiveness, the universe is my teacher just like it was to my ancestors, not a book, not a dvd, not a person, just the universe. I was taught that forgiveness is like happiness... you cant get it from other people in its true form... when others give you happiness and forgiveness it is shallow and temporal, forgiving someone has done nothing to help that person other than an attempt to absolve them of guilt. it does nothing to right the wrong...
pure forgiveness come from within, when you have done everything you can to fix what we call He. i dont need your forgiveness for i forgive myself for attacking the ignorance you perpetrate, you havent even bothered to learn how to say it properly, or what these wrongs you are asking for forgiveness??? it does nothing but make YOU feel better and forget the hurts. I realise you are not the source of this, so i will find out who is and make them accountable. but i do see that it infects
here is something for you, i wont give you the words of our language becuase you will butcher them so here is the english. ...Peace to the universe, Love to the universe, Joy to the universe, truth to the universe, May the Violet flame, the spirit of freedom that upholds justice and truth prevail. this is a gift of love, for the whole world, it is a token of my regard for earth mother Papatuanuku.. this was written by Dr Rangimarie Turuki Rose Pere... look her up on youtube under globaloneness.
Concern yourself less with judging what others do, and instead work on realizing that God is the All That Is, and that Spirit belongs to EVERYBODY, not just you and your alleged bloodline and "secret knowledge".
Because there is no secret knowledge; there is no one group more enlightened than another. There is only Truth and then the many roads to reach it. You are on yours, these men are on theirs, and there is validity in it all.
thank you, im concerned when people portray this as something it is not, if there was no secret knowledge we would know everything and there is much to learn. the human part of me goes grrr and hurts that these things of our ancestors have been taught wrong by someone somewhere along the line, they will be accountable to that not these guys.. the higher part of me wants to share what i have been taught, so i will start doing that soon where i am. the ripples of my actions will travel far.
if there is no secret knowledge maybe its been under our noses the whole time... sorry for venting, but i realise none of you may ever understand why i feel this way, and why many polynesians would behave exactly the way i did. but thats ok... its all learning, and finding this page has taught me so much about alot of things so thank you all.I believe that polynesian culture has alot to teach the world in terms of how we treat each other as children of the same sun, sky, earth and universe.
it is not enlightened to say "i'm suggesting i do know more", nor is it enlightened to assume other Polynesians would behave the way you do. one DOES NOT NEED BE POLYNESIAN BY BLOOD to know the mysteries, nor practice Hawaiian mysticism.
the Polynesians certainly developed their own access and style to these deeper things, but it is neither better nor "right". what you propose here is a brand of elitism which is not helpful and also, wrongheaded.
mahalo ia oe i ka olelo ho'i mai nei, ka huli au i ke leo o ou kupuna ia ho'iho'i ia oe, ia a'o pupuu owau ka mea wailua o na kupuna, ka mea ho'oka'ana i na kanaka apau loa, aloha mai no, aloha aku, o ka huhu ka mea ola 'ole ai. ia a'o au, ʻuʻumi i ko'u inaina. eia kekahi, ka noho ʻana keia, ka mauli, ka iwi o ka aina, aloha mai ia au ka hoʻoponopono au i ko'u akahana, ua pau.
Thanx. Actually I am one fourth Seneca and part have spent time in the Amazon - where I visited deep forest people. I've also worked wth the Yaquis, Quenchuans and Navajos - which is why I resonate do deeply with the Polynesian vibration/culture. I know I've lived here before in another incarnation as some kind of kahuna. Hawaii is truly God's Gift to the world and I would never do anything to disparage her. Mahalo from Tom In Waikiki ( The Tom IN this video ).
you're welcome. i used to live right along the ala wai in an apartment. i'm in Chicago now, though i was back in Maui last month. Hawaii is a treasure, and it is for everyone.
it doesn't matter that you're "white men", we're all humans, in these physical bodies, but with spirits inside. this is the one thing we all have in common, and the one thing that connects us to the higher principle. and your intentions are lovely! i am happy to know there are people like you. peace!
it seems you are suggesting that because of your heritage, you are superior, or that others aren't as important or know "as much".
that is your ego talking, pure and simple. because it's not about bodies, or even geography, it's about God and Spirit and Creation. no one group has a higher claim on that.
and these people aren't trampling your mana (did you mean aina?), they're going deeper and working toward enlightenment. i wish all people were as interested in that!
thanks. no i meant Mana. i realise my real issue is with the person who made up this ho'oponopono, im suggesting that i do know more because polynesian IS my culture and genealogy, I dont expect any of you to ever understand but hey, the sun will still come up tomorrow thanks to Maui and at least i have said what i wanted to. Aio ki te Aorangi. Peace to the universe...
i honestly don't know why you'd have an issue with someone who "made up" or practices ho'oponopono. it is a loving and healing modality which, if you ask me, the world needs more of right now.
and with all due respect, polynesian is MY culture, too. i was born and raised in Hawaii, as was my father, as were all my family members. i know of what i speak but i do not choose to lord it over others or claim additional benefit or knowledge because of it.
yes you are right, thats the way of the kahuna hee. i will do what i do and what i've been taught and share it with those i am supposed to, and try not not worry so much about what others do. ka mea 'ai o na lanakila ke 'olelo, ka mea vai o na lanakila ke palena ʻole ka ʻike.
i slept on it and woke full of ambivalence thinking, is it arrogant to say that you dont know more than me without knowing what it is i dont know about that you know? is it humble to say that someone else does know more than you? is it humility to say, i dont understand or know what you are talking about but i am willing to listen? is it a learning to say i will never understand what you mean?
anyways, ill send my negative thoughts to the sun to be made into rainbows sunbeams light and love for the whole world. he tamaiti o te te tai ao, he tamaiti o te ao marama, a child of the universe has no boundaries to learning.
Mahalo for your comments. I have really tried to LIVE these principles - especially since moving here to Hawaii. Where are YOU ? I am looking for a real kahuna to study with - and a good man's hula group. Aloha TOM
I would love to share your knowledge and wisdom about Hawaiian esoteric knowledge. There is such a deep and powerful truth IN the Hawaiian metaphysics - in Huna. So much mana to share !! I love Hawaii with all my heart - and respect the Hawaiian people so very much for still being so gracious - even after being "taken over". I am the Tom in this video and would like to make friends. I am part SENECA ! Aloha TOM
Forgiveness of self - of God - and of each other is the way to experience true freedom and peace of mind. All we can do is pass on what we feel is valuable - and this process FEELS valuable - and worthwhile !!! We LOVE Hawaii and the vibration of LOVE that exists here !!
sin? taboo? if you break tapu u die... i have seen it my father has seen it my grandfather has seen it all the way back. i have researched huna and found there is no link with anything polynesian except the words they use. it has been made up like your forgiveness ritual. i have nothing against the principles of huna but i do with people who pass it off as something it is not. may the universe forgive your ignorance
use your own brain research your own roots, do not un-thinkly chew the fermented cud of another without doing your own work. the universe always gets cheaters.. to test this go to the top of haleakala and take a rock back to america, then go to a marae and take one of the bones that may be lying around, and then see if your forgiveness ritual works.
Kia tau ko te kahukura te wairua korer here, te kawe i te tika me te pono
Strange that you would reply with such vehemence and rage to a video about forgiveness! Tom and I go around the world visiting all sorts of cultures, looking for common themes and archetypes that CONNECT us in our commonality. In the end, we are all connected, all equal, all one. We focus on topics that bring us together and illustrate our unity. We have made no claims in our video except for the value of forgiveness, which we hereby extend to you.
it angers me that a culture is appropirated by outsiders and bastardised and im talking about max long who made up huna. yes i can understand how it would look strange that i was so vehement about the forgiveness ritual i saw but if you could see it from my perspective you would understand... thanks for youe forgiveness even though i did nothing wrong...
hmmm was that a guilt trip i was just given hehe its ok the universe forgives us all... after all we are only human while we are here... i urge you to do some real research on kanaka maoli cultural values... you will learn LOTS :)
aloha mai no aloha aku o ka huhu o ka huhu ka ola ole ai.. recieve love through sending love there is no wellbeing in anger *takes a deep breath* but the very act you perform would offend most polynesians who know their culture so.... will you repeat this error or learn something new from it?? peace :) ill forgive you this time but dont do it again... pleeease hehe
There will always people that will leave stupid comments, it doesn't matter what it is, like you wrote in this comment I'm replying to, your trying to spread forgiveness (do something good) and people attack it like it's something horrible.
even if they don't think it's true, (the power of forgiveness) they should still find value in the simple goodness of forgiveness. I really don't know what to think of these people. Do they just want to live a vengeful life? Does THIS make more sense??
Hey, Bro. Mai hopohopo ia oe, a'ale maopopo ia lauala ka mana'o ko kakou po'e O ka Pakipika. Ua Huna maikai iloko o ka Hale ma'o kakoo, Na ke Akua Hoola'a ia oe ame kou Ohana O na Mea no apau.
Kiaora Kahzz, he mihi atu kia koe ka whakautu taku korero... ae ra, i tino riri i nga huhu ki nga keha nei ka tahae nga korero o ta matou Tupuna, me takahi i nga mana o nga tupuna, ne.. na te mea nga ware enei poko kohua.. a, e kore raua e rapu ki nga matauranga o te aorangi, engari i tuku enai korero na wai? e hara ta maua tupuna... me ki au nga mea 'huna' ka korero raua, he rukahu, he tutae, Kukae... e kai ana ratou i te hamuti, kiaora rawa atu kia koe e Tarangitaupito,
I question whether you do get it cause the fact that you can't pronounce the words correctly make it questionable. There is power in words and if you don't know how to pronounce the words, it takes from the integrity of the teaching. Also, you are reading this from a piece of paper so do you really get it? Hawaiians passed down things by using oral history it was not past down from a piece of paper.
Hey :) I have to admit i don't know a great deal about Hawai..or this Hop'oponopono ritual so this was some education for me, i'll watch this video again when i'm a bit more awake so i can join in! :D
Outstanding! Comedy and practical spiritual empowerment all-in-one-stop browsing! Aho Maholo brothers of lightness and levity! May the power of gravity never leave you stranded but always be your servant.
That was wonderful, we needed that. There is a lot of power in the Ho'oponopono method of forgivness. Our experience can be changed by our realization that it's all of our own creation. Keep up the good work.
total boosheeeyit. give Hawai;i a break and leave it alone.

i think a person who truly knows more does not feel the need to tell others that he does, or why others might be wrong.
i think if a person feels the need to say that, they are probably at the very least incorrect, and at the most, speaking from ego.
we've all been there, though. the metaphysical community is rife with this kind of thinking. i find it unfortunate.
"a wise man knows much but says little; a fool knows little but says much." -- i think this is good to live by.

Admitted...but we DO get it...
