It's funny how American patriots use the rape of Nanking as a reason to justify their atrocities on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After the Chinese Revolution especially when the PLA repelled the U.S-led U.N force from North Korea the U.S threatened repeatedly to give China its Hiroshima, which was only prevented by a Soviet nuclear retaliation. The U.S tears for the Nanking victims are as phoney as a $3 bill.

U.S military leaders such as MacArthur and Nimitz who actually fought the war have repeatedly stated that the bombs were totally unnecessary, Japan was on the verge of defeat. They were dropped for the purpose of killing Japanese civilians. The Japanese Army was no worse than the U.S army in Southeast Asia, who deliberated massacred civilians with everything short of nuclear weapons (Soviet counterattack...oooohhhh)

Look I know the Chinese government is not trustworthy, but with the amount of evidence of the atrocities commited by the Japanese Imperial Army in China before and during the War, and specifically atrocities done in Nanking, it is deeply, deeply ignorant to say that it didn't happen.
The documentation of mass graves cannot be rationally denied.

-There is plenty of evidence aside from those photos so them being edited means nothing.
-The amount of proof out there is overwelming, you just choose to ignore it.
-A lot of photos and film footage of the mass graves, the bodies are in the ground.
-Refuges were forced to return to Nanking after the Japanese army "restored order"
-Timperly is not the only source and he wasn't working for the Chinese government when he wrote What War Means.

The statistics show where the corpses were found and buried. Only about 2,800 corpses are found inside Nanking castle (walled city of Nanking), and the rest are recovered outside, which were almost 40,000. There are few corpses of women and children. Zeng Xubai, then chief of the international propaganda division, said in his autobiography (vol. I, p. 201) that the central propaganda bureau funded the publication of Timperly’s What War Means and Lewis S. C. Smythe’s War Damages in the Nanking Area. Both of these books must have Chinese propaganda books.
