Blacks have voted Republican before when the party was more progressive between 1880's to the 1930's. If Republicans work with Obama and get bipartisan support on healthcare and the economic problems, then blacks will look at the Republican party as embracing I believe and maybe Democrats would stop getting 80-95 percent of the black vote every election. Democrats may win back white voters in the South.
