Hank Williams is my idol :) His talent for writing, and his ability to take the songs he heard growing up and turning them into something great are something to be admired. His biography is definitely worth the watch. I'm from Newfoundland, Canada, I'm 33 and I grew up to his songs playing as Dad made his lobster traps in the basement :) Do you know he wrote 'I'm so lonesome I could cry' in about 15 minutes!! This is one of my favorites! One of the first songs I learned on the guitar.
@shersey77 lyour right you really know your music......welcome to the world of great country music, so happy to know that people your age appreciate good country music and not what out there now
Alone with his thoughts, whiskey, and guitar.... WOW!!! great comment to this great singer/songwriter who became a legend. sad he left so young. no telling the vast music catalog this man left us, but if he would of lived a vipe ole age??? sigh/
I can cry now, 'cause this man everyone around the whole world must know this legend! Love him so much and just 13984 views= Sad Poor World nowadays:( Love ya Hank! You will never ever be forgotten!!!!!
i told a lie to my heart',,,this is absolutely my all time favorite tear jerker by a man who died long before his time.,i was born & raised in a bar,my mom & dad took to all the bars,my mom was married to her high school bow.they lived in a dry county call beaver pond kentucky,ky.there best freind was drunk and run over them in 1937 shortly after graduating high school, they were only married 10 days, she married my dad during ww2.i am the last of the baby boomers.i love this song.RIP hank.
man i cant listen to any more of this shit he was a sorry soul, feeling sorry for him self. bet some woman left him rite at the piont of goin big time
im 20 years old, this man has hit me hard with his lyrics and music. now days all it is is a bunch of rap, music tht has no meaning. we need more music like this, songs tht have meaning to them. long live the greatest man there ever was!!!!!!!!
@hersey77 ...There's great music being created daily.....Live in the present The past is full of ghosts....living with them daily will get you depressed, then dead young, like Hank.
It's good to hear people make covers of country songs especially hank williams he is a legend. That means there are people still listening. I hope country will come back like in the past! Please let more people listen to country again!
@ElivGizzle9 i agree with you country like hank williams and his son johnny cash the highwaymen and many more are the best not like the new country... i love hank williams some of his songs are sad and make me cry and i hardly cry about anything.... hank williams reaches the heart and souls of many people long live his music and soul through his voice in his songs
@ElivGizzle9 I agree with you so much. I'm 24 years old and I come from Spain, which is very far from the States and here country music is very rarely heard. However, I was lucky enough to listen to good music since a very tender age and there is nothing like good ol' country music. Country music moves me like no other style. And Hank is a legend.
@gasper47 Definitely. Blues made Country music even more special,so I would also say that country / blues is the one that I like the most. Though I like country music in general.
total heart an spirit 100% soul and feeling hank s the man

@Basquelady86 is it ANY country that moves you, or country/blues?
cuz blues is what got me so into HW, and cash too, willie nelson etc....i dunno, i just think without the blues, it wouldnt be what it is...
