I agree with you that Adam's work during the tail end of the punk explosion was brilliant, however Kings of the Wild Frontier is a really brilliant record and that record was released (I think) in 1981. Viva La Rock (1985) also had great moments on it as well.

Another thing...we all have the ability to make great music...if you just listen to your own musical voice and be true to yourself..not copy another style or even have a style....that's what made the early 80s music so special...the artists did not limit themselves....no matter how goofy your musical voice may be...do it anyway..could turn out brilliant!!
