why dont you learn to use your D7000 properly? you can clearly tell that your a canon fan or are you just trying to make canon look better on purpose?
How do you make the Nikon D7000 auto focus and stay focused on a subject on movie mode with out touching any buttons while recording? I need it to stay focused on me with out me checking if it is focused on me and not have another person record me while I need it to record me.
@ElectrofilmsENT Actually, European countries very often do have yellow tinted glass on the street lights. This is what most EU cities look like at night.
@brainsare Ah, alright. I guess at that point it is really left up to the shooter to decide whether he wants the original look or a white-balanced look.
@ElectrofilmsENT You don't set white balance so all light look like daylight, you set WB so the camera records a signal as close to the naked eye's interpretation as possible. In this respect, the uploader has done the right thing, from a classical photography standpoint.
I am using 500m f1.8 and 35-70mm f2.8 no matter what aperture and iso 200 but footage gets so noisy. Did you retouch the noise? Dont tell me its original footage - I will consider you a liar :-)
Hi, since two weeks I own a D7000. I'm using a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and had some night shots @ 24fps and ISO 1600 and shutterspeed of 1/50 with f2.8 but my footage is very noisy! How dis you get this clean footage at ISO 1600?
Everytime a record at night with ISO 1600 my footage is really noisy so I want to know wich settings u used so I can check if my Nikon is all right.
Very cool test, I just got the D7000 for video to complement my D700 and have found myself using the D7000 more than the D700 because it is lighter and has video and still capabilities.
i own a d7000 and i tried using it for fireworks pic, it's with ISO 100 f/11 with my shutter on bulb(for more than 30sec.) and i noticed a black spot somewhere in the middle rofllmaoqwerty.tumblr(dot)com/post/2704286326/happy-new-year
@FenchelJanisch How long do you have to wait before you can record again when it reaches 20 minutes and is overheated? People say you can restart recording after 20 mins, but wouldn't that overheat the camera if you continuously keep restarting the recording after every 20 mins is up?
@FenchelJanisch what!? a camera like this can get overheated? and in only 20 minutes??? I was looking at this, and the fact that it had hd video made is also very appealing, but I want to make some music videos with it. the filming would take more then just 20 minutes D: and how much memory does 20 minutes take up?
hey the reason they made nikons and other dslrs have video is for added features like for short music videos, commercials, to show motion and lots of other reasons. but the camera sensor is not made to be used for 20 minutes straight, so the sensor can burn out if it over heats. it automatically turns off after 20 minutes as a safety feature and it won't work again until it has cooled down...
@RubenCraninx In a filmmaking setting, shooting in takes (30 sec. - 3 min. at a time), I use mine all the time for 8-10 hour shoots and never had it overheat. It'll only overheat if you're shooting long continuous clips. If you stop recording between takes, it won't be a problem.
I'm in German II, we just finished learning about transportation in Germany. Taxi drivers like to invest in good taxis.. and seeing as how Mercedes is German.. why not?
it's sure nice to see such industrious fleas, but my lx5 could blow any mere nikon out of the water... so profoundly in fact that there'd be nothing but a big black abyss ripped straight through the globe and out the other side... with nothing but the sun moon & stars looking back in gaping awe.
@spaceghetto I'm so sorry that you haven't experienced the wonders of the D7000. I will make a non-profit foundation to get high quality cameras to people who haven't owned one yet, like you.
@LeonardoSasuke i don't believe i'd be able to handle any more technological sophistication than what my lx5 offers-- which i've lately determined equates to borderline limitless creative capabilities. you should see some of my cat photography. and plus my lx5 is at least ten times as handsome to behold, towering like a golden Adonis over the d7000. really you'd think with the exorbitant prices they charge nikon'd be willing to hire somebody with at least half a clue for styling.
@spaceghetto The lx5 is a pretty good camera... if you want a compact point and shoot. But for better pictures the D7000 is the way to go. Nuff' said.
@LeonardoSasuke honestly, my H4D-40 blows the both of them to nanoscopic shreds... but in the end one either has photographic talent or one doesn't; it doesn't mean shit how much of the dwindling almighty dollar you've spent in the process of acquiring your tool if you're deaf, dumb and blind to the beauty in sorrow of the real.
ISO doesn't seem to change automatically unlike D90, it suck so much..You can't do anything when ISO is changing all the time! You can't even use your one of a kind lenses in optimum performance..Does video lines still move when you move the camera fast horizontally?
@aykutb111 Yes, this shit is still alive. Canon 5D, 7D Nikon D7000. All they have it. and do u see strange colores on the car's radiator cell. It's killing me.
@FenchelJanisch Where is the world do they have Mercedes Benz taxi? And also what would you rate the video capabilities of the D7000 and the overall experience of the D7000?
@AllanGeeRusky in Portugal. it's an European thing, called availability. We don't have Chevys, though ;) and... drumroll... our trash trucks are also Mercedes...
@AllanGeeRusky Germany and the Netherlands are the countries that uses Mercedes Benz as taxi. Mostly the E200CDI, some of them are S-classes, 5 series, 7 series and Chrysler 300C's.
ii) Also a test of Nikon D7000 at 25fps 720 vs Canon 60D at 25 fps 1080 -- the Nikon does not do 25fps at 1080 and I would like to use this frame rate for broadcast -- was wondering how the Nikon 720 compared to the Canon 60D 1080, because your earlier Nikon D7000 vs Canon 60D showed the Nikon to be a clear winner, but perhaps you had a bad lens on the Canon?
i) Could we please have a test of the D7000 in 720p mode vs 1080p mode at same frame rate -- split screen, with sharp prime lens like 50mm f1.8 stopped down to prime aperture?
I'm curious wether the D7000 will hold in a club or concert hall. The artificial light there was a pain for the D90. Flickering video was the result...
@MysticMaven you most likely have a virus. your 'puter is probably one of those spam-spewing zombies and 99.3% of your connectivity is being eaten up in effect. you better do something about that already.
@mikemusica Actually it really does. YouTube limits how fast it streams the videos to browsing users, especially depending on traffic. I have a 50 Mb/s connection over solid fiber optic lines (FiOS), a gigabit N router, and videos sometimes still take forever to load on YouTube.
