I have the same problem and just live with it I don't want to spend the money to get it fixed, I called Samsung and they didn't care, I just wanted to report it incase its another problem they are hiding
ahhhhhh!! that just happen to me. same exact tv and issue. how much was the repair? and is possible to do at home? Im really starting to dislike samsung.. i was a freakin fan and now they have lost another..
Ahhh... yes. I just got a new bulb and it worked for a day. The bulb flickers but it won't start. I'll take your advice. This sucks cause you spend $900 on a tv and it works for a few years...? It that the way the it's suppose to be? Not buying another Samsung.
Ended up being 2 things. #1 - Color Wheel was making the noise. #2 - The bulb had failed - AGAIN. Replaced both (should have just got a new plasma) and it now works. My advice would be to put the money towards a new TV.

My tv is doing the same.. I just replaced the lamp and it still won't work. It sounds like its on but the screen is blank. Help!!!
