Indeedy it works. For those who are worried because of VAC: It patches the memory of the game and then closes itself. When you join a server and VAC checks your game, it does recognize your game as a usual uncut game. It can't notice the memory changes. No worries, it's perfectly safe!

Does this fix prevent you from playing with friends? I heard that some fixes can prevent you from seeing your friends list and vice versa.

@TheJayOnline If your game is uncut, you can just play with uncut players. If your friends are using the patch, too (or generally have the uncut game), you can play, if not, you cant.

So uh, I downloaded this today but as soon as I open Left4uncut there is a problem and a windows error message appears with "left4uncut has stopped working"

I have not heard of anyone getting banned from using this, I use this every time I play L4D2 and after over 300 hours, nothing has happened to my account. I also know at least 5 others on my friends list who use this and have nothing has happened to their accounts either. Use at your own risk though, I will not be responsible if anything (highly unlikely) happens to your account.

It'd be handy if someone kept on posting every month that this fix still works. I'm certain there's tons of people who're coming here for some serious reassurance. I bought the US version back when u could trick steam into thinking u lived there but that trick doesn't work any more :( My brother now wants it so the question is: Does this still work?
