I spent most of my younger years trying to get close to the Clapton sound and thought I did a pretty good job, but you just kicked my ass. Great job. Where were you when I was looking for a wife?
Hi Seol, very nicely done, and I really like your demo of the Corona CT350 where you play this same music, only without the recording quality here, and the back up music....it is a little clearer on the Corona demo. My question is what gauge strings are you using with the Corona copy? They seem pretty thin! Can't wait for your next upload.
Wow, girl, that has to be the best rendition of Hideaway I've ever heard, except for the original. Yeah, Freddie may have written it but nobody plays it like Eric (you being a close second). He was his best when he was with Mayall then Creem. He still had it in Creem and I know he could still play like that but for some reason he doesn't do it any more. You are an inspiration. mxlplex
Very impressed. The best thing about this girl is she doesnt like all the other so called female guitarist keep putting Girl Guitarist to get more views. She's worked hard. Enjoyed listening & watching you play, you are very good.
Hey, that was pretty damn good! ignore all the negative comments, i think it's a male thing to slag off female guitarists, i enjoyed what you did, have a go at "the stumble" another freddie king instrumental, all the best!
many thanks your video has been a great help in learning this song. Your attack and phrasing are superb and your tone is a great replication of the original clapton version.
I 've never heard that tune played on a strat. I play a '74 Les Paul Deluxe and that is one of my favorite tunes to play along with the phonograph cranked playing the John Mayall & the BluesBreakers album out in the shop where I can be LOUD...
My 10 year old daughter plays the violin in the school band, two years now and tell me she wants a guitar for her birthday, I'm going to show her your video, she'll love it...
@rkcal1977 I don't believe Stevie did that one any of the times I saw him live, seen him three times. Had the great fortune to run into him on the sidewalk in waikiki back in feb '87 the day after seeing him with zz top and run dmc (yes, you read that right, run dmc) at aloha stadium. Got his autograph on my shoe. Stevie was very real and laid back, not like some asshole celebrities I have met. He had a vicegrip handshake.
There seemed to be plenty of live Jazz but I couldn't find any blues while I was over there.
On a side note If any of you are wondering why there is not much activity, a possible reason is that about a year ago after a spat with the Korean government you tube stopped allowing uploads from Korea. Which is a pity as they have many talented musicians
i can tell by your reading comprehension that you didn't make it past the 6th grade. And yes, i am a fifty year old new orleans virgin that eats gumbo and never gets laid.. wtf is an "AUTHENTIC BLUES TECHNIQUE" anyway. you hound like a douchebag, broham. Ill post a nice video for you sometime today.
i just asked you how you knew so much, retard. I never said i went to Berkeley. I grew up playing in New Orleans with john batiste. Btw, being harped on by drunk bluesmen doesnt make you a good player.
yea i bet you know your blues. How do you know blues so well? did you grow up playing? did you study it at Berkley? Have you transposed buddy guys catalogue? Have you studied robert cray? i mean HOW? btw, shes not that good
Excellent playing. Next step is to write your own songs. From your heart of course. Let me know if you visit San Francisco. My son has a recording studio.
Your good, but if i may try finding a real tone with out all the effects, Its just my opinion but to find a tone true from the guitar and amp is a challenge that pays off,,, keep picking
To say that all asians are 'souless robots' is a rather sweeping and unjustified. I think you'll find that Chinese culture is one of the oldest and once the most developed in the world. Just because it didn't develop the blues doesn't mean it has no culture. Also, music is universal, so it doesn't matter what race your from. Anyway seolbr nice playing.
Dang, she almost double EC's parts verbatim. You can hear where she's just behind, or ahead, in places from that chorus\delay type of sound but the notes she's playing are exactly the same. Nailed it on the sliding 6ths part, that's where most players slop it up.

Hound Dog Taylor wrote it - Freddie said that himself. Just FYI.

It's not Clapton's song or licks - it's FREDDIE KINGS. He copied it almost NOTE for NOTE. Give credit to the originator - not the imitator.
