Well Elton John is not only one of her closest friends but has said he liked her version among all the ones that have been done because she changed the musical production and made the vocals her own, as we all can hear the pain in her voice. I do believe that he also chose her to honor him with this song when he was honored in Britain a few years back. The best thing about artist covering classic songs is that we get to love and appreciate the original all over again. Fantasia's version failed!
