@philsturman I'd like to c you even start it up .... on a PC ...in the Kids... game... as you call it is made by the people who build the trainers for pilots of these things, the game engine even has a separate engine just for the rotors making it one of the most realistic simulation of this type of helicopter.

I wouldn't say that, a contrarotating rotor over rotor set up is going to be more complex, heavier, and expensive than a tail rotor design. Though it is probably more effecient, due to eliminating the need to counter the torque, its not neccesarily enough of a bonus. I prefer how helicopters such as the chinook deal with the problem.

But, in all honesty i think this or the intermeshing (take your pick) are the best. I define best as: Most maneuverability, most power/weight, highest (effective) top speed.

Chinook has AMAZING power to weight (hence its role, weight lifter), but it just cant rival a coax.
