The possible motive would be to advertise Pettis' gym while earning Henderson a nice pay off. I would most definitely take a fall under those circumstances. We all know Henderson is a minor name as recognized from WEC. The UFC belt is much more important in terms of recognition.

The "tap" from Henderson was him thinking about setting up a move of his own - most likely a push-off Superman punch. He was just too damned tired to pull it off against a much fresher fighter. First of all, he DID try and block the foot that went up and hit the cage for the push off, he just had no idea Pettis would try something like that so he didn't expect the second one. SECOND of all, its not like these guys TRAIN together to practice kicking each other in the face, THIRD of all, this was the WEC championship fight which got him into the UFC. @kausebuk WEC was just about swallowed up by UFC at that point. The belt meant much less because it was about to disappear anyways. The possible motive would be to advertise Pettis' gym while earning Henderson a nice pay off. I would most definitely take a fall under those circumstances. We all know Henderson is a minor name as recognized from WEC. The UFC belt is much more important in terms of recognition.
