we have seen some blues in a hot swap case seize up, a few raps to the table and they get free, i assume heads got stuck to the platter. but then they would fail the HDD test, so off to RMA they go. we stopped using that hot swap hdd case, and the problems went away.
heads stuck to platter, or spindle is stuck, u can try rapping it on the table, a few times and it might get free, but if the heads are stuck on the platter, u will have a head crash and damage to the media surface., 2nd option is to send to a recovery clinic where they can get your data back..
@c0rrupts3ct0r555 Yeah. Tried to have it in different positions but due to important data inside, I couldn't "HIT" it to make it back to normal (as I've done in the past LOL). Already went to data recovery clinic and they've successfully get all my data back for roughly $350, 7 times more expensive than the drive itself.
