Wow sounds good. But where did the size go? A lot has changed since I was there from 90-94. I was in the drumline. What's wrong with kids now a days? What too cool to join band? It was fun for us and we were still cool.
"been abandoned by their conductor." being a Wayne Alumni myself I am glad your a proud parent and the kids do work hard. But don't talk about things you clearly weren't familiar with. Mr. Satterthwaite did not abandon the place he devoted seventeen years of his life to. You need to get your facts straight before you attempt to smear someone. To bad that 'wonderful director' just got fired though. He didn't deserve Wayne anyway. Charge on guys!!
@squadup013 First of all - I was in no means regarding Mr. Satterhwaite!!! Believe me - we were ALL Crushed when he left on his own respecting terms that I personally know well!!! Second of all - I was referring to Mr. Meyers - although he was a good Director - He left us high and dry without a director. - only having to DEAL with yet another one who didn't quite 'get it'!! I am pleased to say that WAYNE now has a director that is very well respected by ALL!!!! "HIT!!"
@coachnessa Than i was out of line and owe you an apology. I get pretty upset when i hear people say those exact same things about Mr. Satterthwaite, i just assumed i was hearing it yet again. Good luck to the Blue Guard at Districts, lets start a new tradition this saturday guys. we'll always root for you.!!
Hi I am a Color Guard member of the Dekalb High School Marching Band. I was one of the people to lead this band around. I had four other bands but this was the best all day great job this year hope i will see you all next(maybe this time the field will not be flooded!!!)
I'm the tall guy with the tuba. I thank all of you who give us support. We now have all the drill and music on the field. It would be sweet if you could get all our perfomances on here.
To all you Wayne Blue Guard Band members ... you have come along way and I, as a videographer, enjoyed your performance, that's why I posted it on YouTube. It shows that your dedication and hard work pays off and I congratulate each and every one of you for giving it all you've got. Keep it up, this is just the beginning.
This is a 'cinderella' band..been abandoned by their conductor, they took it upon themselves to go ahead with it..and worked hard all summer with the help of alumni students! Luckly, they now have a wonderful director...more to come I'm sure!! ~Proud Parent! (Trumpets Rock!)
I worked for a Mr. Lincicome at Morristown jr/Sr high and I also graduated from Wayne as a member of the BlueGuard.....coincidence???
