NOTE TO THE WORLD - this IGNORANT, EGOTISTICAL man does NOT represent those Southerners who are educated, who do NOT live in a time warp, and who have the GOOD SENSE not to take pride in our past moral transgressions. He's representative of an antiquated mindset which gives The South a bad reputation. We're not living in the JIM CROW era anymore and 'Rebel' rhetoric is blatant RACISM. I am a Caucasian, a native Southerner and I am APPALLED that ANYONE would support what he espouses!!!
This is the first song I fell in love with ole Hank, he was just a kid but this song really turned me on to his singing, all these years later I'm still a BIG FAN....
I became a Hank Williams Jr. fan about the time of this album and when he sang the soundtrack to "Your Cheatin' Heart", the movie about his dad. I always thought this was one of the greatest country albums I ever heard and felt it never received its due. The fact that Hank Jr. took his dad's old poems and was able to make them into his own catchy and engaging melodies was a wonder to me. Hank Jr. was also one of the best and most talented entertainers I ever saw. Thanks for posting!

This is a song written by Hank Sr., but never recorded it as far as I know, but Hank Jr. at the age of 20 did record it and released it in 1969
