@stairwayandrew custom firmware is a hack you can do on the psp to make able to be hacked. like you install firmware M2003.e in stead of 55.5 or what ever. it basicly make the psp able to bypass everyhting to get free games, homebrew apps, and all that other crap. look it up on google or youtube.
