What people are told to do at home with lime dips may differ from what we do at the vet hospital (I work at one). However, you're supposted to put eye ointment in their eyes BEFORE starting the dip, to protect them. You also must get more of their face. I squeeze out the sponge and carefully go over the forehead, cheeks, chin, and a little bit in the opening of the ears. You aren't supposed to dry them either (naturally dry) and at the hosp. we use e-collars so they can't lick themselves.

How do you treat any rooms that the cats/kittens may have been put into for the duration of the time (weeks) that they were undergoing tratment???
