Gary.... Love this cover man! On e of my favorite Jimmy Webb songs from his album, El Mirage but I know you were covering the cover by the Highwaymen meaning Willie, Waylon, Cash and Kris. Love the different head gear as well! But my favorite hat is still the one people are saying you should retire! The sound was very clear on this one by the way and hell... I'm gonna favorite this! @rbheiss Well thanks Roland..and tell Jimmy I said hi... and ya Willie starts this one out for the four..and Willie is the greatest IMHO. Yep I was looking at my hat and it's so worn and each torn thread is a memory and a friend. I did get to see Willie at a concert in the area a couple years ago.
@gleeblock Gary, I'll remember to tell Jimmy hello from you and I agree that Willie is the greatest. Cash is second in my opinion but Waylon is up there! Got to see Waylon finally... shortly before he left us. Never got to hang out with Wilie but we tried. Sheri Frushay took me to his ranch outside of Austin and she rang the buzzer but they said he wasn't there. Darn! Sheri is good friends with his daughter and had Willie been around I'd have some stories to tell!
@rbheiss Dang,, brushing shoulders with them folks must be pretty cool. I have the book "Willie Nelson" by Joe Patoski pretty good book. Dont know if they are true but there are some pretty funny stories in there. Be listening to Hank Williams Sr and that sound since I can remember.. good music from that group an era
