this game sparked my interest as former mechanic and still a bigger car/engine fanatic. altho there are some pointers, which you guys stated like no ignition, but also not waterpump, radiator with the parts that attach to it nor is their an oil filter of some sort. the engine has some weird drive belts going on too. but those are small details to the big picture, other then that i must say i am DEEPLY impressed by this, i play a game called SLRR for years and i think you should checkitout 4 tips
@VStanced Yeah, they're a bit simplified to what's important, thus no oil filters, simple water pump and no radiator until it goes into the car. Keeping it a bit more simple there makes it a little easier to make the huge amount of different types of engine we need without worrying that we don't have a water pump that doesn't look right for example :)
I will be posting this on various forums and facebook to help get the word out! Good luck and I'm looking forward to being a customer of your incredible looking game!
This game NEEDS to have racing development. Either create engines for specific (or generic) racing series or creating an entire car. R&D that is implemented for racing can trickle down to high end manufactured cars.
@tazman3124 No. But I'll be low-priced, compared to unimaginative CoD-like crap. There's actually a poll on the forums, and the 40 USD is the most selected option
Nice, but could you include the horsepower as well next to the kilowatts on the graph? So this game is going to be like Car Tycoon, or is it "just" an engine designer game? I hope you can answer my question. Thank you!
Looks really, really fun. Just applied for the beta. As a sample of the testing I could contribute, at 5:31 in your video, with the push-rod valve description pt 2, it should be "its," not "it's." ;)
Nice upcomming game, i am spreading the word.
I have some ideas.
1: draw your own car shape...some lines that gets rendet, so there will be super unique cars
2: a drag strip to get the feeling of your work on the 402 meter or so :D
3: body kits, rims for the "street racers" tunners
4: maybe customise inside the car aswell....interior and stuff like that
5: dyno roll, tunning tips, you might sell this game to shools for people being mecanics or so fun way to learn.
sorry my english

@swatski87
1: Considered this. Too hard to impliment in a way that makes good looking cars, very technically difficult
2: we want to add various car tests later on for your car, so probably will have a drag strip eventually.
3: Not really right for this game, its about running a car company, so you wouldn't really use those parts
4: you get to choose the interior that you sell your car with but you don't see it.
5: Will have the engine dyno only, will also teach you a lot about engines

@cabrita309 We'd love to do that as an expansion, but for now we have enough work to do to finish the base game

@tazman3124 It will probably be a lot less than 40 USD in the end too - we hope to make enough money that we can work full time on more games!

@gentle285 You'll have an option to choose HP, Lb, Gallons, Ft-Lb etc.
It is going to be very much like car tycoon, yes.
