We WILL become a fully-fledged Republic - all in good time. But .. for the moment .. let us collectively as a nation, at least give good Queen Beth the dignity of a graceful exit from her magnificently long and magnamous reign as our Queen - when she ends up passing on .. as age will no doubt soon catch-up with her. THEN - after that - we can rightfully become a fully-fledged Republic .. but not before.
The best bit of Australia being a Monarchy is the total political independence of the head of state, and that another country pays for them! Who could ask for a better system? Australia is indeed the lucky country, and its thanks to the British Monarchy that you ended up that way. You can't buy History!
I am extermely proud to be from the Queens Realm of the Commonwealth of Australia. It behooves us all to celebrate our Westminster style governance and enjoying stability under our Soverign,I swear undying loyalty to my most excellent Queen of Aussie.
