I am a little curious as to whether she would respond well if her children received an unsolicited religious lecture from a religion to which she does not belong from a stranger without her consent.
The name "Halloween" actually is derived from "All Hallows' Eve," the day before All Hallows' Day (or All Saints' Day). That holiday commemorates all of the saints, known and unknown, who have ever existed.
you could do some or any of those things. Or, you could do what you've been doing for centuries: intentionally emotionally scarring your children for life with tales of an ever-watchful, ever-vengeful, all-knowing, all-powerful god who "loves" you, but has no choice but to make you suffer for eternity if you happen to have any urges that are human, or "god" forbid, actually DO something "wrong" like respect the beliefs of another.
I did something similar last year during Halloween. I gave out bags of candy along with a mini-Bible dressed us as Jesus. I grew a beard for the occasion and wore a white toga plus fake blood marking the spots where the Roman spikes went into the Lord’s hands and feet. I offered bonus snacks to kids who can tell me who I was dressed up as. it was a night of mostly planting seeds. However, three kids took time to hear the gospel and got saved at my doorstep. PTL!
I like what you have done and i dont want you to Give up! but kids too day are Evill LOL they dont care about GOd they will just the candy but then agine GOD IS GOOD so it will work!
if i was a kid i would steal all the candy and would be so high i wouldnt care about the tracks...
