    almost.

  • this really sounds like velvet underground or my bloody valentine... not in a bad way!

  • top gear

  • there's at leasat 2 songs on every blur album that are fucking amazing

  • it sort of points the way Blur were to take, it's so different to the rest of Leisure, it almost would feel more at home on the Blur (1997) album or 13 even, like dreamy and yet heavy

  • my youth ,my life ,my soul is in this song

  • @castorpale11 i'm exactly the same nothing stirs thoughts from my youth quite like this!

  • How have I never heard this song before?...

Listening on a cool, windy and quite gray day of Summer; just had an atmospheric experience to remember. That final note felt like it pierced my soul. This song is simply amazing.

Blur have already taken the spot for one of my favourite songs of all time with Coffee & TV - didn't think I'd have another experience like that...

  • I love this song to death, it's pure perfection but I prefer the other version, the Seymour version. it sounds more mysterious and Damons' voice makes me shiver. This version is a little bit slow, good but not as good as the first version. Blur was a very talented group.

  • My personal fav. by Blur.

  • Best instumental ever!!!!! It acheives high Gothic grandeur, musically, you can't get much better or darkness than this.

I can't believe that the British public, preferred Status Quoasis over Blur.

Shows you how ignorant the general publis is when it comes to magnificent music.

  • not the best for me

  • plz help me i looking cover this song by Black Canary when you find plz send me a link or file o n email Adress victim88@wp.pl thank you very much and god bless you and your family .

  • My children know exactly what this retarded girl just found out. There are rules, and they can say "rules are meant to be broken," but when I find out about it, I'll break them.

  • perdonen los 30 no me gusta son de mis estupidos compañeros de colegio que son ignorantes y no saben de cultura

  • this song hypnotizes me ~<3

  • I love Blur so much they are the beatles of the 90s so diverse

  • This song fit Trainspotting perfectly..

  • ah-ah-ah-aaaaaaaaahh

  • @markus1312 damn u stole my comment lol

  • :)) i love kate

  • Long time listening to this tremendous song...Blur at its best, deep words, hard bass guitar, breath taking guitars and drumms and... the voice of Damon.

What else can you wish for?

  • Lindo ,cara!

  • i feel like crap.. i just want to run and never stop.. i wanna scream and hopefully someone hears me and confort me. but i know thats not going to happen., thats why i come listen to this track so i can feel somehow good about my misery..... hoping for better days......

  • Sing (Travis) > Sing (Blur)

  • @gogolplex74 fuck off.

  • LOVE THE ENDING

  • My chemical romance usual american angst with lyrics that only have meaning to the lobotomised

  • The intro clearly inspirered Coldplay in their new single "Paradise"...

  • apparently coldplay's new song paradise has its inspiration from this song and i can hear that...

  • @aislingreene

except that the original is way better

  • @aislingreene No, not Paradise, it was 'Lost!'

  • @aislingreene I just don't hear it.

  • @TheSickleCell Nor do I.

  • @aislingreene really, this is my one of favorite Blur songs, so that is whay I like paradise

  • @aislingreene now I see its Lost

  • @aislingreene lol! talk about bait copying!

  • I never knew that this is Blur song. OH MY GOD. I have been looking for this song for ages :DD

  • I am going to look for trains in the morning....

  • @dprague

eh trainspotting has two really distinct definitions... one is a person who watches trains day in and day out, keeping journals of their coming and going....

the other... an annoying cunt that leans over the dj barrier to see what tracks you're playing.

either way, i'm just taking the piss mate! :)

  • robo, what a disgusting comment!

  • @jonnyritz You idiot lol, spectacular song

  • Wow..

  • MY singing rings in the air

  • Ah, if only Beetlebum was recorded a year earlier. Would've made for another great addition to the soundtrack. That song was just made for Trainspotting.

  • One of the most awesome songs of the 1990's that won't be on a conventional playlist. Great piece of music <3

  • this song rocks

  • When you look for a song called Sing on Youtube, Glee and My Chemical Romance songs come up long before this... what has become of the world.

  • @robo3007

My Chem aren't that bad :/

  • @MarquiseOfHearts i'm afraid they are,dear sir or madam.

  • @cesinis

    Well, that's your opinion dear sir/madam :)

  • @MarquiseOfHearts

I love MCR, but my favorite band is Blur

and even I like the song Sing of MCR, I have to admit that not even reach the heels of this song.

I'm sorry, but it is so...

  • @aliceMcglee

When did I say that MCR are better than Blur?

All I said was that they are not that bad as people say they are.

Of course blur is better >.>

  • @robo3007 commercialism happened, people today seem to judge a song based on the physical attractiveness of the artist and the budget of the music video. however most modern music is garbage.

  • @ec123456789able

Dont you mean "modern life is rubbish"

  • @SuperSimonuk No, I was not referring to the album, I was referring to how modern music sucks compared to Blur.

  • @ec123456789able yes i know, but there is an album by blur called modern life is rubbish, it just seemed like the right thing to say

  • @robo3007 But there's also Sing by Travis and Travis are awesome

  • @robo3007 that's why u type "Blur" w/ "Sing" :)

  • @robo3007 a crap factory.... :(

  • @robo3007 SING by My Chemical Romance is beautiful song with very meaningful lyrics. Not all music today is horrible.

  • @robo3007 In James Rolfe Wise words: " A shit load of fuck". Amen.

  • @robo3007 Hey I love Blur, I'm here bocouse of that, but wtf happen with people! Do you think you're "So cool" disrespecting a band like My Chemical romance? they are two opposites styles, but both are greatest bands.

  • @robo3007 No MCR are real. MCR try and do it for the music and fans unlike Justin Beiber. Don't complain about them when there are worse.

  • @ryneldo

Sorry if I've offended you, but don't you think enough people have been complaining about Justin Beiber, huh? If he happened to have a song called Sing that's more popular than this I might have happened to give it a mention, but I could never see the appeal of talking about some random pop artist nonsense on completely unrelated rock videos myself.

  • @robo3007 Time passed.

  • @robo3007 My chemical romance's song is not bad...

  • @sillyhUron My Chemical Romance is PURE SHIT. I had the misfortune of being in high school around the time those posers blew up.

  • @Sshelly34213 I respect your tastes, you should do the same...

  • @sillyhUron I shouldn't do anything, I am not required to respect your TASTES, just your right to enjoy whatever you want. (and I do, but that doesn't mean that I can't disagree and state my own opinion.) You started the topic anyway by disagreeing with robo3007 and saying, "My Chemical Romance's song is not bad..."

If you can post disagreeable comments, then I don't see why it's so difficult for you to receive them.

  • @Sshelly34213 Yeah, you're right. Sorry, I felt like I was attack.

  • @sillyhUron No it's alright, I'm sorry if you felt like it was an attack. I was just expressing a heated opinion, so it probably came off as a bit ranty.

  • @sillyhUron I'm sorry but I think you have no taste

  • @sulmagnificent Why? I listen to everything... and i like everything...

  • @sillyhUron well I said I was sorry for being a douche bag are you asking for a second apology?? I'm just one of those people who sneer a people listening to Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus and MCR. Is that such a crime???

  • @sulmagnificent what are you talking about?

  • @robo3007 MCR ain't so bad

  • @robo3007

I agree. Though I actually like some MCR.

  • I just can't stop thinking about Renton running down the street as fast as he can chased by the cops when I listen to this song. Great song for the greatest movie

  • @MrKatiusko the police*

  • @loveisEV0L the cops..the police.. same thing..

  • @Jinxedwithme the cops is american the police is British.

  • @loveisEV0L what's the difference? they mean the same thing. It's still in English, isn't it?

  • @loveisEV0L and garda is Irish ...lol

  • God this song makes me miss Edinburgh my home town, and for some reason it makes me think of absolutely everything in life.

  • love this song

  • Roughly (or perhaps exactly) the most beautiful song in the history of ever...

  • coldplay interview about their song 'Lost!' brought me here.

  • @xylopful Then you are scum with no musical taste or knowledge and should keep your mouth shut.

  • @qwertyuiopdan1 'don't judge a book by its cover' dude.

  • 28 people do not know what is good music

  • The most underrated song ever!

  • No words necessary or appropriate enough to describe the greatness of this song...

  • i have over 17000 songs on my computer. I hold this song and Björks I Play Dead alone in a special category...."Painkillers"

  • According to the comment "dharmadude222" posted, I am tone deaf. No, it's the fact that half of the music in my music library [~ 716 songs] is much more beautiful than this song.

  • @SwaffyX What do you listen to?

  • @babaG819 Movie/Game soundtracks, Soft Rock, Oldies, Christian worship music, Shoegaze, Mellow, Alternative rock ...

If you're actually serious about your comment, than I ask you [kindly] to look up "Beautiful Exchange Instrumental." It'll give you a nice example.

Everyone has their own definition of "beautiful music."

  • top gear brought me here <3

  • I want this played at my funeral

  • @iluvwatermelons That's my plan! I will have this played at my funeral. Multiple times...depending how long the service lasts :) With a few other songs for variety.

  • God dammit, I miss my Mickey t-shirt....

  • Makes me cry and sticks in my head all the time.

    LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH

  • tune... cant say anymore... me and damon have the same hair... as does my son.. enough said.. Damon the madman.. is awesome

  • Seriously, one of my fave song! So simple and beautiful

  • This will bother me until the day I die: why weren't more songs made like this? (Not only from Blur, but just during the 90s in general.) Why did Blur have to change from making this kind of music?

  • @dvdkrz Thats what happens when you have a band who cant find commercial success in the U.S. and they're music is pushed by a mind like Damons... you end up with another sound like the one created on 13 and Think Tank... which eventually morphed into what we hear in the Gorillaz. Soooo, could be worse (Metallica?).

  • @dvdkrz cuz its really really hard and less rewarding...

  • they should've named it song 6, for the same reason they named song 2

  • I had to listen for 15 seconds to be sure I'm going to love this song.

  • This song is in my top 5 songs of Blur of course

  • To me probably the best tune they wrote. Even though it seems to be an island on the record it is at.

  • @rollandmcroll yep, completely agree mate

  • Beautiful!

  • this is my fave moment in the film trainspotting , cheers

  • para mi tambien

  • Of course this isn't on the US release.

  • visionary. Way ahead of its time.

  • The Great Song & Great Lyrics !!!

  • i love cock

  • I'm so glad I got the UK version of the album for this song. This songs beats "I Know" from the US version by a long shot. I can say that, I'm American. :)

  • this song in the Top Gear eco race <3

  • I'm perversly happy that blur never got big in America.Because I was able to see them in venues that were'nt humongous.I got to see one of my favorite bands upclose three times. Wonderful!!

  • @bret66g which isn't to say that blur is unpopular in america.. they're still known well enough

  • Amazing when you consider this is from their debut album. Wonderful.

  • 24 people dont want to be sang to....so fuck'em

  • 24 people have no soul.... seriously, how can anyone dislike this??????? anyway, i admittedly got into this song due to Trainspotting... Blur just wasn't played enuff over here in the states. I was lucky i knew a few measly singles by this point in '97 (of course, now i know many many more!). I had a crush on this song that summer... i'd listen to it over & over late at night... oh, kinda like i'm doing now :-P

  • this song was immense even before trainspotting

  • such an epic haunting piano riff for an epic film

  • this song was made epic by trainspotting

  • blur is so underrated

  • woo 1000 likes

  • search "Triple XXX - Ya no te acuerdas" nice sampled beat of this song

  • Amazing track, but on trainspotting it was something else. Ageless.
