I just ordered a De VRIES #9 kit of last season, even though I'm a Hibernian fan. I guess this match in the video was the highlight of his career.

I saw him at ADO vs Zenit in The Hague once and he sucked... nowadays he plays at Cambuur and he isn't real impressive there either (they broadcast Cambuur-RBC 2 weeks ago on tv)

Still, Cambuur has a big chance of promoting to the eredivisie again this season, so at least he can end his career in the highest league

Celtic and Hibs won 6-2 against their rivals around the same time. Rangers, however, managed to balance it out by winning 5-1 aginst Celtic 2 months later. Hearts had to wait 2 years!! A long time in football. This result was the most important ever imo. I feel privelaged to have been at this game (and the 4-4 and 4-0 semi final too of course) Mark de Vries will forever be a God in my eyes!
