I love how connected Shallow ND and the Kittens were. I saw them play a halloween show together at the Royal Albert in Winnipeg must have been 96. Shallow had a crushing live sound
So friggin Great! I saw them in about 95 or so I think it was with the Kittens! what a great show, loved it thoroughly, they both were instantly a couple of my fav bands for life... Mob Wheel kicks ass too, if you don't have it, get it somewhere!
Saw 'em in 1997 (?) in Victoria and then years later (maybe 2003) in Hamilton. The Victoria show was one of the loudest and cruhsing things I have every experience. Sadly, they were playing with a bunch of straight edge hardcore bands before them, so most of the kids took off when Shallow played last. I think there were only 10 of us left standing.
I loved these guys, it's too bad they went back underground after this album. The release party they played with Sons of Otis in September 1999 is still one of my top three shows ever.
Hey! You're Christopher Mills! I love your work, my man!
Yeah, I didn't mind the spottiness either in this case. By the way, I don't know if you still have it lying around somewhere, but I would love to see the video for 'The Waterskiiers' again. That thing was infuriating and brilliant.
I'll do my best - maybe over the xmas holidays, i'll see if i can dust off some old things...i'm currently pretty busy with the next couple of videos.
thanks for the props - this was one of the most fun shoots (and probably the loudest) i've ever done.
Almost all videos: The Waterskiiers isn't there. I left a message there a few weeks ago about it. Maybe it's because the song busted YouTube's limit for length?
Anyways, if you somehow find the time to upload it, I'll just be very very happy.
I got the VHS of the 11-minute version. but i dont have the technology to convert to digital. same with two other SND vids. I would really like to see that shitty vid for Six Foot Foam Skull! hahaha
