On the topic of ethics. The rats are jumping ship.
CHEMRISK - a research company hired by the Corn Refiners Association has recently taken down it's YouTube channel.
The removal was in response to negative public perception resulting from the discovery of dangerous levels of MERCURY in HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. Apparently it has become a liability to defend the sweetener.
See one of the last remaining ChemRisk videos at CornRefinersAssoc on YouTube.
a code of ethics is merely a symbol...like the authentification of diamonds which are "conflict free" - its a symbol that false...a symbol that brings "peace" to the masses while still taking part in atrocities against humanity....LETS READ! AND OPEN OUR EYES!
The guy in this video is delusional. Does anyonethink the assh*les in Davos give a sh*t about ethics? They're too busy looting the taxpayers to subsidize their incompetence.
Meanwhile, this f*ck should go back to getting kids hooked on cigarettes at the quick-ee-mart. If he sells enought he'll earn an invite to next years WEF meeting!!!!
I am watching this as I fast with @ 35,000other individyals around the world who are demonstrating support for a change in the conditions under which the people of Zimbabwe are living.
...hunger on a daily basis.
Their so called leaders (it can be said CEOs) could make different decisions and make conditions of hunger transform to conditions of abundance for all. Perhaps a code of ethics would inspire change.
I find the question irritatingly naive and paradoxical. Asking if sociopaths--the current model for "successful" in The West--would sign up for standards of ethical behavior? The answer is yes, but few would waste no time betraying the code with impunity, and blaming someone else.
At the root of the CEO problem are the ever-Freudian concepts of egomania, narcissism, and sexual dysplasia (my term). If the human ego weren't so insatiably needy, what would this world look and be like?
Its interesting but how these code of values are judged depends on the cultural standard of the respective nations. So to have a common international standard is just a dream.
so you're saying that our culturual differrences are so vast that in the practice of business, what is ethical and what is corrupt cannot be differentiated? How then has a global economy evolved to the extent it has and how will it ever survive? There must be some common ground that has and/or can be found identifying what is right and wrong along the lines of business
Sorry i read this by mistake but better safe than sorry, PLEASE DON'T READ THIS you will die in seven days if you don't post this comment on 10 videos in the next hour. if you do, tomorrow will be the best day of your life
An executive from a major automobile maker declared in 1929 that the key to economic prosperity is the organized creation of dissatisfaction. I believe this is one of main reasons why are economy is in the place it is today. We have to stop buying into this lie.
Lawyers and doctors have a code of ethics just to elevate the nobility of their profession and fill a sense of responsibility on those who take up the career. It must be morally and spiritually elevating to be a part of a profession which see's itself as integral to maintain the character and fibre of society. The code of ethics will not punish a transgressor, but society will view him/her with scorn for having violated a norm self subscribed and not imposed.
