  • Do you have a bunch of hanging loose skin? I lost a 100 pounds too, and now im all baggy. I hate it.

  • I eat only raw veggies and fruits through the day then have 1 glorious juicy lean piece of lightly seared steak at night. I was able to remove my final carb crutch (brown rice and maltodextrin) and have now broke the 179 barrier. I used to weigh 222 lbs at peak when I was stuffing my face with crap. I don't workout like I used to so I can live 95% raw and 5% red meat. I chew on wheat grass now all day and so far I feel amazing energy. Skin is clear, energy all day and clear thinking!!!

  • Whoa!! You are thee Coolest Grandma Ive ever seen !! I <3 your attitute =-)

Its a trip that your Cat went to Heaven on my B-Day..R.I.P Kitty=-(

  • @MCMLXXX57 Thanks,

  • good for you !! :) Sorry about your kitty :(

  • Miss your videos..please make some more!!

  • hey you have you tried yeast free chromium, ...check it out ..it really has worked for me....

  • yeah.. I know what you mean. About six months before our old boy got ill, I had adopted a little goody Papillon from a rescue and so having this little guy really helped me get through the loss. Animal are so amazing! I like them so much better than people!

But that aside. Your new kitties are so cute and glad you are back on the wagon. I started back on my 1200 calorie thing on Monday after a 5 pound gain from the holidays. Ready to get into the 130's!!!!!

  • Sorry about your kitty. It's hard losing a beloved pet. We lost out 14 year old dog last March. Miss him terribly.

I am glad you are feeling better. The Winter sucked it out of me too. Ready for some sun and butterflies! :D

  • We have 2 new kitties now, it is fun getting to know them but there isn't a pet in the world than can replace our Big boy. We miss him so much.

Yes, I am so ready for spring and some sun.

  • I'm so sorry to hear about your cat =(

  • @CutTheFat

Thanks so much, he was a special guy.

  • I'm so glad to hear that you pulled through. The sugar sometimes just makes it worse, doesn't it? Especially if your body is already no longer used to it.

I can't eat the same amount of food I used to, which helps with the negative impact of bingeing. I feel so awful afterwards that it takes a long time for me to even consider it again.

  • @AMangyCat

I sure relate to that. I don't binge but sure did over do it with sugar far to long. I am having a hard time getting rid of the weight I gained. It will come off in time, a very long time.

  • You are adorable! Love the sound effects and music in this video! Happy 2010!!

  • @Beepinsqueekin

Thanks so much, Happy 2010 to you too.

  • Your lifestyle is very interesting. I will look into it. Thanks for the video. Love your style!

  • @lalamazu

Thanks so much. My lifestyle is very comfortable and stress free,

  • please do tell how you got yourself off the sugar--that is a challenge in itself! congrats...i have started a personal challenge to reach a set amt of calories for the month of january (healthy amount of course)

  • It was the same way I got over a few other addictions, talk to myself and giving myself a date to stop.

I didn't like how it was making me feel so it was pretty easy. Also I was feeling good, stress and depression can cause loss of control.

I count my calories every day, wow a month sounds like a lot of planning. But should work.

    Good luck

  • Thanks Marjie! I've been trying out the Vit D for my depression too. Parents left for back home today, so I will have to up my dose for the next few days so i don't get too far down into a funk.

  • Hey there Donna,

I take 5000 mil a day plus st johns wort. It took a few weeks to work. I am convinced it did.

Hope you are feeling great soon.

  • 5 stars love it

  • Thanks Angie

  • Thanks, it sure is great to be back in a good place. I love the feeling of being in control of myself.

  • You look very beautiful in this video Margie! <33333 R

  • Look Fabulous. Just vibrant and healthy. When you hit a point that you have completed a journey, it's normal to go through a binge period. This in itself can have an effect on your ummmm, yep, hormones. Which in turn as we all know can cause further bingeing; suspect sugar and depression. Texas-T depression. Should you go through this common cycle ever again, take a look at your hormone levels and ways to balance them out. You do look like your hottie spicy self. Happy to see a new video!

  • I am so happy for you! Back on track in 2010! SUGAR is a toxin! You look absolutely gorgeous!

  • thats how i "cheat" too...i will start with pnut mms cos i think the peanuts will "cut" some of the damage and i venture with organic chocolate and durum wheat noodles from the health food store..if its from the health food store its good for you right? WRONG with sugar addiction sugar from chocolate is the same as sugar from breads/wheats etc so for MY body I know i cant have those things or it will spark a binge! Thanks for this vid

  • Do you have a sugar addiction or gluten addiction (gluten intolerance). Most of us are allergic to gluten and don't know it. It's like herioine to some of us.

  • exactly! sugar is like a drug to us with sugar addiction, you must abstain from it and its various forms

  • Glad ur feeling better and are back on track! Good for you! :0)

  • I had just found you, and then you were gone :( I'm so sorry to hear about your depression, and am inspired by your resolve........Wishing you a very Happy New Year! xoxo

  • I am so sorry to hear you had some hard times! I also think maybe you were too skinny. Your body will tell you what weight is a good one for you. Struggling with our demons is a constant battle, but you have been an inspiration to so many. Keep making videos, Margie, you are an amazing person! P.S. I am sorry about Big Boy! What a gorgeous cat he was!

  • I still cannot get over how SKINNY you are!!! It's amazing. You look super sexy girl! Your husband is one lucky guy! Thank you for making a update! I've missed you!!! <3

    xoxo Dust

  • glad you are back.. we've missed you! You look great!

  • Great video. So honest. You look wonderful.

  • Marjie, I think you look great. Congrats on getting back on track. I did the same thing you did the last couple months which destroyed the new habits I was creating. But I am getting back on track slowly but surely.

I'm sorry about Talladega but it seems it lived a very long life.

Good luck on 2010 and many happiness this year.

    Cheers,

    Mari

  • You look FABULOUS!!!!! I am happy to see you!!!!! Sorry you had to go through the depression..... I undertstand that sugar addiction...mine is still there but no nearly as bad as it used to be~ See you soon Sassy Girl!!!!!

  • I missed your videos lately. Glad to see you back. Good job!

  • oh marjie i'm so sorry that you hit that slump after your weightloss. i hear, in the weightloss community here, that it's not uncommon (for whatever reason). but i am soooo HAPPY that you've got your old self back and are off the sugar!! that's awesome!! i'm very encouraged by your news!! thanks for posting this vid! ~ hugs, katie

  • Loved your video!

  • I know, baking is sooo dangerous!

Sorry you have gone through a little set back, but so glad to see you!

sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful cat.

    looking forward to naughty hauls!

  • Weird how I love to bake. If I do it again guess I can give it away, but I doubt I will. I think it is wrong to give people food that is not good for them even if they eat that crap.

We have decided to get another American Shorthair. We thought it would be impossible but after seeing a few at the cat show yesterday we know we can handle it. So we are shopping breeders again.

I need to make a few new naughty hauls.

  • I think you look really good. I think your face looks great at this weight. I agree about the sugar. I eat no sugar wheat dairy or gluten and will never go back.

    But honestly...you look good now.

  • do you do fruit?

  • Yes, I sure do eat fruit.

I usually have a cup or two of frozen blueberries with a few raspberries every night.

I have 1/2 cup fresh OJ with my ground seeds every morning,

I am trying to limit the fruit right now, until I get down to the weight I want to be. Carbs keep me from losing weight. Even the good ones.

  • @macomarell 1.does eating carbs make you crave sugar? 2. When you get to your goal weight will carbs make you start to gain or will it keep your weight stabilized? 3. Did you have any medical issues that are now gone due to your diet?

    :)

  • @EyeWearMySunglasses

I limit my carbs to fruit and veggies. I gave up grains 2 years ago. They probably do make you crave sugars because what they do is turn to sugar in the body which creates fat cells. I intend to never eat grains again.

I had no medical conditions that I knew of except obesity. I did blood work recently and everything is great.

  • I don't eat anything with wheat in it either. Not even whole wheat. I find it easy to do when I am in my normal frame of mind.

I plan on never going back either. I wish other people knew the great feeling it is to get them out of our lives.

Thanks so much, I am feeling good too.

  • I've missed you!

  • Thanks so much.

  • I was wondering what happened to you. Missed your videos.

  • Thanks, Yep that is what happened to me. Sure hope it doesn't happen again or to anybody else.

  • aww! im so sorry for your loss :( seen that after I left the comment!

  • Thanks, he was a very special guy. Greatly missed. Lots of tears being shed around here.

  • Great confession!! So glad you are back!

  • Thanks so much, good to be back

  • Glad to see you back darlin.. You look faboulous at a size 4 :) I know you'll reach whatever size/ weight feels appropiate to you . because your a bad ass :)

  • I still have those darn dreaded love handles that are full of fat. Since I discovered I have a small frame I now know why they are still there.

    Thanks

  • So happy so see you Margie. Vitamin D and St John's Wort is amazing for depression. I have now almost eliminated all sugars from my diet, I feel wonderful without sugar!

Also, the Paleo diet is something I am researching about, I just finished listening to a podcast Primal Body-Primal Mind.

Also, I know I am out of vitamin D...and most other supplements, I can't wait to get back on them all.

I am saving my pennies to be able to purchase grass fed beef.

those cookies did not temp me!!

  • Those cookies did not temp me either. We are such strong women. Yea.

Grass fed beef is wonderful but can be a bit gamey tasting sometimes. Some people don't like it.

If I am out I buy the organic at Raley's. It is very good.

Oh, maybe you could find the grass fed at a local butcher, that is where we buy ours, he raises his own cattle. We have also bought from a local rancher, We buy half or a whole animal at a time. lasts a whole year.

I feel wonderful without sugar too.

  • glad to see you're doing well!

  • Thanks so much, doing well is what it is all about.

  • OMG!

I Have Missed My Skinny Biatch!<3

I Need to Call you soon, Also try Gaba Calm. It is a Natural Relaxer! Sometimes you need to calm the Fawk Down.

Consider Yourself Lucky, 12lbs Compared to some that have GAINED ALL their weight back. Your one Smart Cookie!

    Loved the Confession!

  • Hi there Nic you beautiful princess.

Where the hell are you, come out of hiding, Please.

I did consider myself lucky it was only 12 pounds. Really!!

In fact I was a bit surprised at it, I hadn't weighed myself for a long time so I was glad to see I was still in the 130's.

Call anytime, now that I feel like talking.

I need to look up Gaba Calm.

  • I'm glad you're back !

  • Me too, I love being back and in control.

I know it is hard to get off sugar!!

I am glad you are back on track..

    You look amazing!

    <3 Brenda

  • Thanks Brenda,

    Sugar is evil for sure.

I am glad to be back.

    Glad you are back too.

  • Hope you continue to look and feel fabulous.

  • Thanks so much I sure intend to give it my best.

  • great video! thanks for sharing all this info with us!

  • Thanks, I hope it will also help me to stay in a good place.

  • So glad to see you back! You look awesome, and I can't wait to see more vids! You are pure inspiration! Happy New Year!

  • Thanks, I have a few ideas for new videos. I am even learning new software to edit them. Something I couldn't do a few weeks ago. It is such a great feeling to be in control again.

  • Great Job Marjie~

You look amazing and seem right on top of things. Make 2010 your best year YET! xxxo

  • Hi Lana,

I will sure try to make 2010 my best year yet. You cute snow angel.

  • you said you are taking mega doses of Vit D. Is that D3 or ? and how much do you take a day? :) you look great!

  • I take Vit. D 3 5000 mil a day. I think that is it anyway. I don't know for sure if that is a mega dose or not.

It also made my skin feel amazing. Great and necessary stuff. Everybody should be taking it.

  • Actually yes I would say that 5000mg of Vit. D3 a day is a mega dose! I am only taking 3600 at the moment.. but thinking of uping it.. I have only been taking that dose for a few days I hear it will really work wonders..

I have another question for you.. is that 5000mg of Vit. D3 in one pill or?

My pills are only 400mg in each pill so i am taking 8 a day!

would love to know please get back to me :)

  • oh glad ur bk I just subed 2 u not long ago and like u a lot and love the grocery hauls..u look fabulious darling...sorry about ur cat I have 2 dogs and dont even want to think about something like that happening to them..u make awesome videos marg...be well...

  • Thanks, I need to make a few new grocery hauls.

We miss our kitty so darn much. My husband is taking it very hard.

We have decided to get another American Shorthair. We didn't think we could do it until we saw a few yesterday at the cat show. Now we know we can handle it.

    We are shopping breeders.

  • Margie! Good to see you back on! I've missed your videos!

  • Thanks so much, it is great to be back.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your story and experience with depression. I'm about being healthy and exercising, those are my only goals and to reduce the "whites" out of my diet. I'm now a comfortable size 6 and we'll see how it goes from here. I think setting scale goals can in some ways be detrimental because it implies there is a finish line when in reality we should live this way until we die. Does that make sense? Welcome back beautiful. You are loved!!

  • There is no finish line for me. I intend to do my way of eating for life, you are so right. I need the scale to let me know how I am doing. I sometimes forget to weigh but don't sweat it.

I am comfortable in a size 4 but prefer the 2's. Since I discovered I have a small frame I now know why at 135 I feel fatish and have a roll of fat at the waist that is impossible to get rid of.

I have never been skinny it would be nice to be.

  • Honestly Margie, I need to release more weight. I still have that tummy roll that probably won't go until I am a 4. My 6's are fitting looser, so that's good. I miss my scale :(

  • You look amazing !!

  • Thanks so much, I feel amazing!

  • Marge love the hairdo! Think there is something in chocolate that keeps your happy wander if you body was missing a nutrient it got from the chocolate. Anyway glad you are back on track are you still working??

  • I do fine when I eat plain Chocolate when I am feeling good. I got out of control with that darn depression. I hadn't had it for two years so I was sorta surprised I got it at all. Glad it is gone, I intend to keep it gone.

  • Hello lady! It is so good to see you. Congratulations on getting back on track. I look forward to seeing your continued success in the New Year. Take care.

  • Thanks so much, it is wonderful to be back,

Happy New Year to you to.

  • Thank you for sharing your store. What I think is amazing is how you look like you never had a weight problem, like you have always been thin. Undergroundwellness had some videos on the Mood Cure by Julia Ross, I just got the book. might be an interesting read. Sorry about your Cat, I know how hard that can be. You are a strong woman, pulled yourself through and are pushing ahead. am so glad to see you back. You are a great motivator and I love your sense of humor. take good care.

  • Thanks, I will check those videos out.

Our Tally was a huge part of our family we are really having a hard time without him. Lots of tears.

We have decided to get another American Shorthair and doing lots of cat shopping at the Cat shows looking for the perfect breeder.

    Thanks for the kind words.

  • you look fabulous Marjie, and I understand what you are dealing with. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Thanks so much, I hope you are doing well.

  • The daily-ness of nutritional health....ah, what an adventure! Please post this as a video response to my New Year's Resolution video so I can find it quickly when I need inspiration!

  • Ok, I will post the video response. Thanks for asking.

  • Yikes. I can relate. If I think I have the freedom to eat chocolate, I get out of control. I'm so glad you got back on track. You've done such a great job.

    Many blessings to you.

  • Darn sugar!! Yesterday at the cat show they were giving away those mini candy's. My husband had some M&M's and I could smell them, Guess what? I didn't want even one. What a great feeling that was.

  • GREAT to see you back! Thank you for sharing your story with us. Bless your heart! I'm so glad you met your goal and that you are on your way back down to it. AWESOME video!

  • Thanks so much, great to be back.

  • Lady M

So glad to see you back - this video was very interesting.

    You look really good today.

    xxx

  • Thanks so much Maggie.

    I am feeling good too.

  • so very glad you are back. its nice to have that smiling crazy lady around !! its nice to have a 'non surgery' person out there too. you look marvelous at this weight but if losing more is what will make you happy thats cool. waves~~~

  • I do Calorie Restriction and didn't fully explain it. After the weight stabilizes you then want to lose another 10% for optimal health. Calorie Restriction is all about health and longevity. I want that.

  • finally got to see it..........so happy to see you again and doing well!

  • Glad you came back to see the video,

    Thanks.

  • I am so sorry about your loss :(

VERY HAPPY you're past the rough spot! Hope you will your AWESOME grocery hauls and recipes again!

  • Thank You, Tally was a very special cat. Un-replaceable.

We are going to several cat shows to find a breeder for another American Shorthair. They are wonderful cats.

  • Wow, this is ironic! I was just thinking about you an hour ago, that you hadn't posted in a long time, and voila! Here you are! Nice video. Glad you're back on track! happy new year!

  • It is great to be back and loaded with energy again.

    Happy New Year to you,
