I'm an extremely proud Kurd from Kermanshah. We Kermanshahi are all Kurds by origin. So please don't conclude anything else because we were, are and will be Kurds forever. Yes there are some, ca 2000 thousands non Kurds who are living in Kermanshah but they all too, mor or less, speak fluently Kurdish. These people have migrated to Kermanshah because they were sent by goverments's bodies to do some service such as military etc. So please stop misinterpreting us!

my generation goes back for more than 300 years in kermanshah. even in some classic iranian movies I have heard my family name. as far as I know I never been a kourd nor my family or any other real kermanshahy for that matter. so dont try to tape kourish poeple to kermanshah. dont get me wrong I have nothing against kurdish people any way.

but kermanshah in general, has its own "culture". its very unique. and the best kurdish songs that everyone knows, have been recorded in kermanshah. To know the true culture of kermanshah, you could watch "italia italia", ghatebeh plays the main role, perfect kermanshah culture, on a movie screen!!
Thank you! ;O) Finaly, I am the same I was brought up there, my mum and her family are from that area, and they do not call themselves kurdish. And their dialect is a mixture I would say, they talk ketabi. They pronunce as it is written,and they have their own words and estelah. I am proud to be from there, its lovely ancient cross road, which have survived through the ages. ;o)
well maybe ask ur parents. Mr. Lornejad was an amazing singer. his last album was called "kermashan" and he died in the middle of recording the cd. Mr. Keykhosro pournazeri was the composer. everyone loved him and still do. He was a true singer. sang from the heart. loved singing. He was a "motreb", but a very respected one. Try to find that cd and listen to it. he only sings a few songs on there, since he died someone else finished the cd!!!
Mr. lornejad and masghati(tar player) used to sing in taq boostan. and according to my father u could hear them from miles away. and they played in the radio and concerts. they were amazing. I play music and sing, thats why i know about them.
I am in England actually. ;o) Wow that sounds amazing I love the folkeloric music of Kermanshah. Well, I bought my self a setar from Kermanshah I am trying to learn to play...but gee its difficult. I ve to find a tutor.
I am in us. Setar is a great insturnment.Its very delicate. Its good for sensative and emotional. If ur not "sensative" you will be too rough with the setar then it wouldnt sound like its suppose to!! A tutor is great but the "right" one. but keep practicing. there are a lot of good self-start books u can use. Its wonderful ur doing that.

Yes I know Mr. Irandoost..Kermanshah is beautiful place, the best and most memorable kurdish music has been composed in kermanshah.I actually have relatives there. I was there 2 yrs ago. yes we are all iranians and proud. And ok, the lanquage is a mix of farsi, kurdish, etc. Taghbostan, Gardaneh asad abaad, doogheh"leily o majnoon", songhor va kolyayee,sheeshlee khayeh kermanshah.HAMEH KHOOBAN.yek navari hast be nameh KERMASHAN,omedeh roozi az kurdistan iran raees jomhour dashteh basheen...

but kermanshah in general, has its own "culture". its very unique. and the best kurdish songs that everyone knows, have been recorded in kermanshah. To know the true culture of kermanshah, you could watch "italia italia", ghatebeh plays the main role, perfect kermanshah culture, on a movie screen!!

Thank you! ;O) Finaly, I am the same I was brought up there, my mum and her family are from that area, and they do not call themselves kurdish. And their dialect is a mixture I would say, they talk ketabi. They pronunce as it is written,and they have their own words and estelah. I am proud to be from there, its lovely ancient cross road, which have survived through the ages. ;o)

Its pretty cool. Mr. Lornejad used to sing that poem with Esmaeel Masghati. Two of kermanshah's genius's!! do u know them??
I was there two year ago, went all the way to Paveh, from kermanshah. I have family in sanandaj, kermanshah and songhor kolyayee.

well maybe ask ur parents. Mr. Lornejad was an amazing singer. his last album was called "kermashan" and he died in the middle of recording the cd. Mr. Keykhosro pournazeri was the composer. everyone loved him and still do. He was a true singer. sang from the heart. loved singing. He was a "motreb", but a very respected one. Try to find that cd and listen to it. he only sings a few songs on there, since he died someone else finished the cd!!!

Mr. lornejad and masghati(tar player) used to sing in taq boostan. and according to my father u could hear them from miles away. and they played in the radio and concerts. they were amazing. I play music and sing, thats why i know about them.

I am in us. Setar is a great insturnment.Its very delicate. Its good for sensative and emotional. If ur not "sensative" you will be too rough with the setar then it wouldnt sound like its suppose to!! A tutor is great but the "right" one. but keep practicing. there are a lot of good self-start books u can use. Its wonderful ur doing that.

and the "kurdish" language they speak there, is very simple and more farsi words. Its more an accent than the real kurdish language. Now a days a lot of real kurds have migrated there, because of economical reasons, so now it looks more kurdish than its history!!!

why so upset?? why the "f" word!! my whole family and generations before that are from the surrounding area!! but not because of that, if u read about the history, thats what the truth is!! just like in tehran, not everyone is tehrani, same for kermanshah, but the further northwest you go, they are more pure kurds!!

to kakooly.-I agree with you!-Kermanshahis aren,t Kurds and they speak both new and old Persian,but the city and Province of Kermanshah have Kurds and Kermanshahis call them Jaf.most of them liv in Paveh,Nosod and Javanrod.but a few hundreds of them liv in Kermanshah city.but they also are Kermanshahi,because they live in the Province of Kermanshah.we are all Iranian and we proud of one another!!!

Oh for god sake give this kurdish nationalisme a rest!!! we re iranians in the end... (just so you know, kurds use to emigrate around, hence we find them in Iraq, Syria and Turkey, alas they were moving around, and they had to stop, after ww2 new boundaries were drawn up regardless of them)I was born in kermanshah and my mothers famliy are from the area, but they do not see them selves as kurds.. so in the end, label your self and not live others to decide what and who they are!

I am not a Kurdish nationalist and want nothing to do with them - but tell me, what language are they singing? The truth is the truth: the majority of Kermanshah is Kurdish and so am I. And no, my family has been settled in Kermanshah for 500 years, not all have forever moved around like you say. My mother also calls herself Persian but her father and mother are both Kurds.
