YFZ450 vs Raptor 700r

For me as i am 6'2" tall the raptor 700 fit me better if i was 5'11" or shorter i would have probably opted for the yfz. You also have to figure with higher compression rates comes more wear and tear on the engine internals over time if maintenance is a factor in your decision then you might want to look at the raptor.... for fun and speed they are both winners allthough you wont see any raptor 700's up on the podium here at red bud where i race anytime soon the short and stockies (450's) got it

The big bore raptor was created to fill the void that the banshee (06 was the last year for us sales) was going to leave in the yamaha line-up. The bansheee was created as a hell-raiser and al;l of us who have owned them know this to be true i currently have a 700 rap and a 06 banshee and they both do what they were advertised to do. The woods model yfz borrowed from the raptor length width etc cause of all the yamaha riders pissing about which is better..they are both good .

@Th3bz31 team rocket factory has an 804 raptor they race in the GNCC series, ready to ride weight is 425 for a 700 raptor and around 400 for a YFZ, not as powerful? look at dyno sheets with the same mods on a 700r vs YFZ, you get 55-57 for the big 3 (intake,jet,exhaust) with the raptor and about 45-48 with a YFZ, with the less torque throughout the RPM range. a 20$ ebay chip for the speed limiter, which  in stock form retards timing in 5th gear, and by by stock bore YFZ.. theyre all good...

Well the 686(which is the 700R) is fuel injected so can you explain to me how your buddies is "jetted"(not possible). Your "buddy" must have a 660! which is weaker than the 700. and the 700 has ALOT better suspension than the 660 so its alot better in the trails!
