  • This is a clip from the 1957 movie "A Face in the Crowd," which in fact is a stinging commentary of TV ratings, celebrities and yes, marketing! Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal starred as Lonesome Rhodes, a drunken derelict found by a radio reporter (Neal) in an Arkansas jail. He becomes famous and, much like today's celebrities, reveals his true and ugly self. Recommended viewing--and funny, ad campaigns haven't really changed since '57, have they?
