  • It takes around ten years for an international team to become competative in cricket.

Sri Lanka did it in ten and I'm betting China will do the same.

    Good luck China.

  • @MrBenCaesar Lol India don't dominate cricket in any form anymore.

  • wow good stuff, all it took was yao ming for china to get world fame for it's basketball talent..we're all waiting for the next chinese cricket superstar!! Good luck!

  • China has a lot of talent.I guess we can see them in world cup soon. But no team will be able to be the strongest in all 3 formats of cricket within 5-10 years.England and Australia has been playing cricket for centuries,India and Pakistan playing for over 80 years yet they still have their own weak spots.

  • i can actually see potential

  • lol they r playing in a soccer field... and the umpire is an indian guy......

  • dey will be da best fielding team...for sure :P

  • go china!... 3 - 4 years .. just a tad ambitious lol. But aim high guys..thats the spirit

  • first u chinese open ur eyes they closed

  • d winneres off 2011 is ind

  • haha, thats hilliarious, China could beat India, crickets not as easy as they think., the standard they are at at the moment they would'nt beat an Indian under 15 school team.

  • @KryptonianKangaroo i agree! china is at least 15 years behind all the top cricketing nations like india, australia, south africa, pakistan etc..

  • If China wants to "beat India" or any Test nation in cricket, their coaches have to teach them not just basic cricket, but beyond. How to play and bowl "doosra". How to handle "reverse swing" . If cricket was that easy Zimbies and Kenyans wouldn't suck but I believe Chinese people have the will to put in hard work to succeed anywhere.

  • @PSCricket3 They're 1 billion and so... I think that they have some cricket gems who just wait to be discovered.

  • Do you think China could beat India ?coach yes in another 3-4 years lol.Cricket isn't a piece of cake .Only way they will know how good they are by playing against Stronger teams .

  • @stuge234 i reckon in few years China and war-torn Afganistan will make the world cup.

  • They could have a cricket army!

  • India should take a leaf out of England's book and aid their neighbouring country's development. The IPL should invite the chinese cricket team into their league, the exposure will be extremely beneficial for them!! It will also increase cricket's profile in asia.

  • Yes, a land with millions of ppl can generate a substantial amt of manpower but that does not mean it can overcome new challenges.China, being one of the global powers, wants to be a part of every international event, and wants to lead the world. You,Chinese, better learn to bat with a straight bat,and bowl with upright seam.

  • china cant beat india

  • @samman7861 You better cut that "T"

  • absolutely hard, even after decades of playing the game teams like kenya ,zimbab, bangladesh still unable to compete, crciket deals wit lot of skill especially to bowl.its not just the fitness and athletism tat can enable u to play like in the case of football, and its not slogging as in baseball ,china wont be able to make it atlest 4 another 20 years.......

  • is this some comedy

  • I think Pakistan team will not hesitate to help China out in cricket, Pakistan isn't a bad cricket team, and it surely will help China. Next Asia Cricket Cup should be in China, so cricket get more coverage in China.

  • @munnapakora pakistan is one the of the best cricket teams lol

  • china should get better at this and cricket will be the world most popular sport

  • we need 2 promote our indian football like that....

  • pacers bowling at 2 miles an hour? LOL i'll give them anothers 20 years

  • i see potential. that's good for the game. but cricket is a little different from football or curling for that matter. i think it's easier to teach people play decent football but it's more complicated with cricket. but then again, who knows ?

maybe china will be able to beat india in 4 years. i don't see it happening though. i think to really make it to the top they're gonna need 15-20 years at the very least

  • I just noticed that Chinese played cricket in a football ground.Wow they already brought variety to this game.

  • China lost to Japan lol

I think China needs atleast 25 year to be atleast compete

To learn cricket you have to play against big teams like India,South Africa,Srilanka.

In next 10 years China may defeat Afghanistan.

  • To be champ in cricket , the passion has to be developed in blood . Like the Indians and the austrailians. would like to see how china going to perform in 10 years

  • they can get ok in 4-5 years, may be they can compete well in ICC associates trophies, but playing at the international level with the top teams in the world will take some more time than what they think.Cricket is not just about training hard for a period of time but an overall experience thingy.

Wish them all the best.I give them 15 years though :)

PS-I was talking about test and odi's ofcourse, they can surely get better at t20's in almost no time.

  • india is no 1 test team.and india has a lots of records but, china is new in cricket,i think whens china and india plays, india beat easily to china, because china is like a child in cricket

  • @gs55551 Child will get young and beat your team soon .Just five years buddy .

  • @gs55551 India no 1 test team ?? You must be dreaming dude . Well India play test series mostly in Subcontinent where the pitches are all dead for the pacers . After Newzealand tour they haven,t played any test in countries like UK,AUS,SA . Don,t forget Indian struggled a lot in 2009 t20 world cup . Tendulkar took himself out of the team coz he knows that he doesn,t have any answear on those fast track . Learn from your neighbour Srilanka and pakistan . Both of them played in FINAL.

  • @1:50 Chinse man always tries to make china the best...He is finding the gap and measuring it already

  • woww but Chinese are too intellectual for a savage game like cricket..

  • We'll see the movie "Shaolin cricket" like "shaolin soccer" very soon ;)

  • China playing cricket at a good standard in ten to twenty years is an exciting prospect.

  • Man i really want cricket to take off there!! Itd be good to see Chinese being part of world cricket along with blacks, whites, sub continent asian, itd complete the racial set if u get what i mean lols. Maybe then it will bring other countries that it influences towards cricket making it yet more popular.

  • If china and India plays...then more half of the world population will be watching this game..this is really amazing...What about the beautiful game football???

  • @abhesus fuck football/soccer. it's gay.

  • @abhesus what about football cricket is better.

  • @abhesus but half of the world population would already know the results...even b4 the game starts...lol

  • @abhesus no one gives a shit about that

  • China beating India in 4 years? lol.

Cricket isn't all about just playing good shots or bowling good length, its about adapting to various kinds of pitches. See what happened to Afghanistan in T20 WC when they thought they could beat India. They couldn't adapt to short pitch bounders, India brought out their weakness and South Africa murdered them.

  • I bet in 5 -10 yrs China will be oen of the strongest teams in Cricket , they have lot of people

  • @thivakar do china actually have a team?

  • @thivakar maybe 100 years you still need talented athletes not just robots ,China are only good at robotic sports where untold number of forced hours training produce world champions . But I would doubt with there genetics that they would allow produce agreat pace battery like australia south africa england pakistan and west indies are able to do .Thats why no chinese man unless he cheats will ever win an olympic 100m or 200m race

  • @thivakar

But it will take a lot longer for their skills to develop. I was watching my nephew's under 10s milo team play last week, and there was an 8 year old kid who was belting pull shots, reverse sweeps and hook shots for boundaries... When you grow up with a sport in your blood, you are at an advantage. Look at brazil and football

  • I'm Chinese and I grew up in Australia. I'd surely love to see China get into cricket. If the Chinese government supports this, it will fly. Just look at curling, China went from no one knowing what curling is, to winning the world championships and an olympic medal in maybe 10 years. If will help tremendously if cricket is re-introduced to the Olympics, but the Asian Games is a solid start.

  • i am indian ,common china i fully want u guys to come to cricket.. this way both china and indians and pakistan can have matches and improve the relations :)

  • i agree wit misinghs4..... but cum on!!!! do u beleive dat China, a team dat hasn't even joined da international cricket games yet culd be as gud as India, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, etc...... I dun think China culd make it.... but if de try de r all 4 it!!!! If de make an effort den de can be as gud as other teams!!!!!

Ya noe Chinese people r awesum!!!!

  • trust am waiting for that moment when chian and india playing cricket and competing with each other!

  • with this type of dedication and financial support plus the population, I dont c why china cant compete with the likes of ireland, scotland, namibia etc, in the next 20 years. Good luck guys. I hope you advance quickly.

  • Chinese can play cricket like firing guns...I saw the Chinese army and I have never seen a woman handling those big guns before..even though she was not so strong looking, she looked so dedicated.

  • dedicated people in all things they do..no kidding

  • lololol not even!!!

  • I dont like cricket but I like Chinese revolution..

  • I don't like the Communist revolution, but I like cricket...

  • It was just a matter of time, really. I expected China to take this step like a decade ago. Nice to see more Asian countries opening up to Cricket. I am tired of watching the same old bunch. We need more variety. Consider strong teams from China, Afghanistan, Iran, Russia, Korea and Japan. Man, would that be fun or what?

  • Love China , Our Best Friend in da World and Wish the Best Of Luck to Chinese Cricket Team in Asian Cup GO China Love Pakistan
