@missyprissytv you can use special ones for Guinea Pigs in a store. but i use "Baby Shampoo" for my Guinea Pigs. :) They LOVE Baths:L. hahaa. it's cutee:)<3
my 5 guinea pigs all died last year from heat stroke. they had plenty of water and everything and where under shade but the weather got too much for them!! (also they were all short haired) i now only have one long haired guinea pig and she lives inside, does cutting their hair make them more confortable for summer? i want to make sure shes okay during the heat
The song is called Paralyzer, i cant remember who the band at the moment. It'll be easy to find out if you google it im sure. You can give all guinea pigs a bath, they just need to be towel dried sompletely so they dont catch a chill. They also have special shampoos, too. You can find it at a local pet store.

@Purplerocks7 or u can use baby shampoo but lots of people dont say this or kno but u should give it a patching test (resource vet+The guinea pig hand book) because theres a chance it would be allergic and potentially dangerous but those who dnt react they're just lucky - not everyone is

peruvians are kind of hard to come by as it is. It depends on both the guinea pigs ages and if they get along or not. If Billy is young enough it could work- but it's a lot harder to bond males as opposed to females. I adopted Gizzy with a friend of hers that she was attached to. Plkus you may want to read up on introducing two piglets- you have to take it slow and let them get used to one another- can't just throw them in together. Good luck!
thanx 4 the advice- billy is young hes around 4 months old. i am trying to find a breeder on the internet that has baby long haired males. it would be nice to have a friend for him so he wouldnt be lonely. :)
thank you. Me and my husband watched this video and it gave us the courage to cut our guinea pigs hair better. I have always thought that we left it too long and now my husband is going to give her a closer cut nex time.
For that hair cut I just combed her hair out and put would put my finger on her body and leave a little space between my finger and the scissor and it turned out pretty well- and since it grows so fast it's a whole lot easier- plus I worry about her getting too hot in the summer. Good luck!

Even so it's more important for you to control heat levels and the hydration of your pigs.
