I use video games as escapism, and I love video games. People enjoy drinking and use it as escapism too. I prefer shooting people online to getting intoxicated, but either way my mind was finally off my negative memories. It's kind of like when people go for a jog to clear their mind.
Garbage. Good video if you're on dope or other drugs, but not to be taken seriously. I was addicted to video games as a kid and it damaged my early to mid high school grades. When I got more serious about finishing school, I had to bombard myself with caffeine to get over the line.
Video game companies don't care about kids, they care about profit and stock holders. Like all other lazy instant gratification addictions, sure you feel good today, but not proud and confident tomorrow.
@SpaceInvader1011 Thanks for sharing your negative perspective, and BTW caffeine is a drug that causes muscle tension, stress, and alters mood negatively and is addictive. Google it if you care. Your point of view only affects you, if you say it's bad it is, if you say it's good it is. Make the choice you see as best, personally I never choose to think, speak, or allow negativity in any way into my life I can. You can keep it all if you want it's free.
I just got an xbox & have been playing Call of Duty-MW3 for 3 weeks now......it is AMAZING!!! Puts me fully In-the-Vortex & has contributed to many other things manifesting that have been awaiting me in the Vortex, which I wasn't Allowing in yet. It's like everything - there is an In-the-Vortex version of playing video games & an OUT-of-the-Vortex version.....& you can tell by how you feel.
when i was 15, i was in the Vortex most of the time, but i didn't realize it back then. now i understand why when i liked a song, i heard it several times in a single day, from different sources, people, and places. now i understand that i was creating, attracting, lining up with the Universe because i was happy most of the time
I loved this video, because I WAS ON THE CRUISE ! You could tell by the happy, smiling faces, who was in the Abraham group. It was an amazing experience and really fun to manifest. To make a long story short, I bought my flights only 5 days before I had to be in NZ. If I could do it, anyone can.
Video game aficionados are not unmotivated everywhere, but indeed perhaps bored and unmotivated by their school situations. Obviously they are VERY motivated by video games. Video games require very fast paced, multi-tasking brain work that many, many kids these days are not only capable of, but excited by. Perhaps our notion of school is what needs to evolve and change along with our kids and the future of institutional learning.
I'm not sure what came first, the chicken or the egg. But as a teacher I can tell which students are avid video game players ... my experience leads me to believe that video games DO impact the brain. The students who play hours every day are very unmotivated. On the other hand, maybe the unmotivated are more attracted to video games?
