  • Gary Condit got off. An Illegal immigrant did it, apparently.

  • Sounds like this guy's been laying some SERIOUS CONDUIT!!!

  • They convicted some Salvadorian guy for her murder last February.

  • I remember how quickly this blew over after 911.

  • Bill looks kinda like Stuart little in this episode.lol,I have no idea why.

  • Leno pretty intelligent here. Condit's ass saved by the 9-11 bell.

  • @filmerado Hello, the case is closed. We already know who did it. It wasn't Gary Condit.

  • @palatiality

yea even dumb bitches like laura can become lawyers if they suck enough law professor dick

  • the blond bitch sittin next to jay is both stupid as shit and utterly annoying....

  • Jay made a good point about manso, they should just kill him instead of letting him have a fanbase!

  • These "perks" are available to us all. When the police tell you to come in for an interview it is an invitation which we are all free to decline. Most people do not know this, they watch too much tv and take that for law. I think Bill update this show and let everyone know that Gary was not arrested because he proved he did not do it.

  • Leno sucks

  • jay leno with an opinion?? WTF??

  • Fucking kill all lawyers already.

  • In the words of Mr. Condit himself:

"One of us, one of us, gooble gobble, gooble gobble".

  • Hard to believe that this was the big story right before 9/11.

  • Why do people still believe in lie-detector tests?

  • great show, shouldve been an hour long

  • remember when Gary Condit killed that girl?

  • @loopba he didn't

  • @loopba yeah!

  • @loopba I have known Gary for years, before he became a Congressman. He did have an affair but he did not kill Chandra. He proved he was not there and could not have done this. So how about removing your false statement. Thanks.

  • @loopba oh yea... he chopped her up and put her in a barrel in the Potomac i think.

  • @loopba not really lol i think i was 6

  • I remember when the Gary Condit scandal was well on its way to becoming the biggest story of 2001...until 9/11 knocked it off the headlines.

  • Laura is a total hypocrite. Its not a victim culture depending on who it is. She also recently said when bush was president that we have lost no freedoms. Now the other side is involved, we are losing our freedoms...gimme a break right winger.

  • Gary Condit FUCKIN KIILED HER!!!!!!

  • Gary Condit was forgotten by the mainstream because during his trial 9/11 happened. It would be nice if they(mainstream media) did a follow up on what happened with Gary Condit.

  • no he didnt...chandra was ironically killed close to 9-11 b/c she uncovered something about it. Read up on it. Condit was the front man.

  • are you kidding?

  • Nope, I wouldn't want his style that he uses on the tonight show, but I think his style of debate here shows that he woyuld be more unbiased and less "shouty" than Maher.

  • fair enough, i think he definitely shows a lot of potential here and def very intelligent and insightful on the issues.

  • Yeah, the role of host would be better suited to someone who can play devils advocate for both sides of the debate rather than Maher who is extremely one sided on pretty much every issue. That's why I don't like real time, because it's pretty much Maher, 2 guests and an entire audience shouting or making fun of anyone who opposes their views. There's no balance, and as I dislike both political parties, I find that annoying.

  • @beelz3333 i know, bill maher is an nwo shill!

  • @beelz3333 Bill maher has hosts these shows to debate out an issue, which he does.

He actively engages in the debate with his point of view, hence why he made the show.

Even if he gets ganged up on by the other 4, he still brings his view to the table.

Isnt this why he made the show in the first place?

and on second note, if u dont like it, why are u here?

  • Imo it can slightly ruin a show when the host is so aggressively opinionated on certain issues. Imo it's best to have a panel that has a wide range of opinions; same goes for the audience, and then a host that is pretty balanced.

I'm watching it because I actually liked this show, and Bill was nowhere near as bad as he is now. This show was fairly balanced and therefore interesting to hear discussions and debate, whereas "real time" is just a love in between like minded people.

  • @beelz3333 i STRONGLY disagree. if i wanted a stupid puppet host, i'd watch barbara walters. bill maher's value comes in his opinions. i wouldn't watch the show if not for bill maher openly stating his opinion. that's what makes him the important figure that he is.

  • @beelz3333 true, but i usually agree with bill maher so that must be why i like his shows

  • @beelz3333 I agree the Host should stir up both sides and focus on keeping it funny and entertaining however unpleasant the topic.

  • @beelz3333 I strongly agree there should be balance between both sides. However if a view is illogical or extremely to one side then its fair enough that most people would be against it. I like bill maher because even if i disagree with him his not going to say something horrible like you deserve to die or your a bad person, Just because i disagree that alone makes him better then those nut job far far rights. Far far lefties can also be annoying to be fair.

  • @beelz3333 Bill used to say that he was a Libertarian. The Libertarian Party actually contacted Bill in 2002 and told him to stop identifying himself with their party as it was clear to them that his opinions were not representative of their platform. He hasn't called himself a Libertarian since.

  • leno isn't even funny, some other unfunny person writes his jokes

  • lol

  • Interesting to see how they debate this and say Condit should've done this and that when just this week someone else was arrested for the crime. So he should've done all these things to prove his innocence when he was actually innocent. Why was he presumed to be guilty?

  • You miss the point entirely. No one in this debate accused Condit of being guilty of murder. Leno very intelligently pointed out how an innocent suspect in the murder of Polly Klaas immediately submitted to a lie detector test and a police interview and was cleared. This allowed investigators to eliminate him as a suspect.

What Condit did was quite possibly GREATLY delay justice and finding the actual murderer by hiding and not being forthcoming for his own political benefit.

  • Ah, those with glass houses huh? I wasn't saying that anyone in this debate was necessarily going out on a limb to say that he definitely did it. Instead I was merely pointing out how interesting it was to look at how people talked about this issue now that we have the gift of hindsight. The media and public opinion lambasted Condit and certainly implied his guilt, which is interesting to look at now. Furthermore, the man arrested was always a suspect, so Condit didn't delay anything.

  • The debate was centering on "he should've come forward and told them this, and that" etc. Well, he knew that he didn't do it, and probably felt that since he was innocent he didn't want to air his dirty laundry. Irresponsible? Possibly, but like I said, people back then were appalled that he didn't go to all these steps to disclose things that he knew were irrelevant to her murder. Hate to say it (cause its so condescending a thing to say, and dickish) but you missed the point entirely.

  • Incredible to see the stupid crap the nation was fixated on when terrorists were busy plotting the 9/11 attacks.

  • Let's not forget the stupid stuff the country's been fixated on since then. The Runaway Bride comes to mind.

  • thanks for posting
