  • Orcs love Disco. I must remember this for my own fantasy world.

  • awesome

  • Damn. Ever since seeing the makeup job on the orcs in the Peter Jackson movies, every other version of the orcs that I've seen just seems silly...

  • This is inaccurate. The Orcs love to fight and kill, so they do want to go to war.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli No, they want to raid and engage in banditry. They're violent as hell, but regular orcs aren't soldiers. It's the Uruk-hai that are the super-soldiers.

  • i didnt know orcs have radios to play music

  • Orcs play bass guitar?

  • This song really is a catchy tune.

And I think these orcs are rather droll than ugly. And I'm sorry for them a little bit. You can see they don't want to fight, but they are forced to. An interesting interpretation of the orcs.

  • I always thought they had two throats....that scared the shit out of me for some reason. lol

  • No THIS didn't happen in the books. It happened more similiar to how it happened in Jacksons Film. These "humans" were supposed to be Southtrons or Eastrons who were fighting for Sauron and were also gathering in Mordor. So of course they also have to march the same ways the Orcs march.

  • wait, I thought orcs were much larger!

  • very catchy! lol

  • And performing for the first time, the Mordor Orc's quire! In the past they perform to please their Dark Lord, and now you!

  • catchy song ^_^

  • So our "heroes"convinced an army of orcs to slaughter thousands of humans so that they could escape? Please tell me this didn't happen in the books.

  • @DeltaKilo3 Yes but they were evil humans serving the dark lord. its just as well.

  • @countryandpivot Ohhhh, I thought they were the good guys. I didn't actually watch this movie (or read the books yet) so I have no context for this song other than what I know from the Jackson films.

  • @DeltaKilo3 And besides, it dosent really make sence either, i mean, why would good guys bump right into enemys without attacking imediatly?

  • @countryandpivot I had been thinking the same thing, but after witnessing an army of orcs sing show-tunes I was willing to accept anything.

  • @DeltaKilo3 xD i suppoase so.

  • Mitt Romney 2012.

  • this song is so catchy! ^_^ man i havnt seen this movie in forever......

oh, and also, 72 people took a whip to the knee

  • ???

  • They sure can sing

  • Comment removed

  • Gets a bit funky there, oh yeah.

  • the guitar is so awesome!!

  • I use this song as a ringtone for my boss.

  • what a great disco song now they need a band 2 do it

  • Was this an old spiritual?

  • Repeated animation? That shows Rankin Bass productions were partially Japanese

  • Didn't realize the Orcs were actually peaceful creatures who only were forced to fight in a war because of the whip. They need to form a union.

  • @smithgdwg Certainly it makes more sense than "all orcs are bloodthirsty evil creatures which are evil and bloodthirsty".

  • why is this catchy?! WHAT THE FUCK cant get it out of my head -.-

  • this is literally the song of my childhood. i wasn't whipped or anything, it's just that i got this movie when i was 8 (now i'm 19), and my siblings and i never forgot this song. we would randomly sing it so many times over these 11 years.

  • Comment removed

  • Am I the only one who thinks that they are so ugly they are cute

  • @darkwulf23 They kind of look like pugs...

  • where there's a funk disco beat...there's a booty shake

  • But not as bad and scary as the goblins from Rankin Bass's version of the hobbit

  • These guys keep changing from acting and singing very intimidating to innocent

  • Cool... whip.

  • Comment removed

  • @Tenmi11ion

Of course they'd pick disco - what other form of music could be more pleasing to the Dark Powers? :P

  • I really like this movie's design for the orcs.

  • Curses. I shouldn't watch this of all songs right before going to bed. Now I'll be up for hours with it stuck in my head.

  • nice to know the orc's can sing... just didn't think they would have chosen disco.

  • Amal shufar, at rrug (where there's a whip, there's a way)

Amal shufar, at rrug (where there's a whip, there's a way)

Nar drautdil-ishi lutaum (we don't want to battle in sunlight)

Goth Frushkul Urdan Shalan (Lord Lash commands us march)

Shalan udautas-uk, udautas-uk (march all day, all day)

Shurfar-an-ug-hai, at rrug (by great whipping, there's a way)

  • @ostlandr whats that? Sounds like the tounge of the Old Gods xD

  • @ostlandr What language is that? The Black Speech?

  • @ostlandr Yes. You deserve all of the awards.

  • oh gods i wish i knew this song when i was in boot camp!

  • 70 people fear the whip.

  • At 4:01 I was kind of hoping for a dance off.

  • @marker0110 lmfaoo

  • Imagine how much work Sauron had to do just getting them in order for their choir rehearsal...and they say teachers are underpaid.

  • i think if they added marching sound effects and more raspy orc voices it would of made this an unimaginaly epic marching song

  • Is it safe to say this was the only good scene from the whole movie?

  • Wow...I remember this from elementary school...

  • Comment removed

  • I think Sauron would have them each whipped a hundred times just for singing.

  • How could they be mistaken for orcs? They look nothing like them

  • @hersirensong I always wondered that too. They're wearing Orcen dress, but even Orcs can't be THAT blind and stupid to not recognize their own kind from short, plump Hobbits who don't talk the way they do

  • This makes me feel sorry for them.

  • Ya gotta love orcs! :))

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!

  • When I was a kid my sister and I used to sing this all the time

  • They may be evil minions of an evil DemiGod but they sure can sing....

  • Classic

  • "Right, Riiiahht", being from Appalachia I like the redneck sounding lead orc.

  • These guys are less intimidating than the goblins in the animaed version of the hobbit

  • Those poor orcs

  • Wow, this is so terrible that it is awesome! I never thought that they could put a musical number in Lord of the Rings haha

  • this is how i feel taking finals a t school

  • How do such ugly things have such beautiful singing voices?

  • @CinnabonChan Well maybe if you tried being polite and talking to them instead of being a judgmental human or elf or dwarf from outside the gates of Mordor you'd realize you have a lot more in common with them and learn to appreciate their culture as well as their singing voices.

    Ya jerk.

  • @IamJacksSTD I'm pretty sure its not judgmental to disdain the company of something that has a great fondness for the taste of human flesh.

  • @IamJacksSTD thats all fine and dandy till they throw a hatchet at you the first time they see you

  • @CinnabonChan oh c'mon, you've seen Susan Boyle haven't you?

  • Eat this Bakshi

  • Yes, we all have Ralph Bakshi to thank for these movies, the one song that gets stuck in my head though is The Cracks of Doom, I end up singing it with various things in the lyrics, suddenly I'm typing on The Keyboard of Doom, or having to answer The Phone of Doom, when will it all end... :D

  • @TheBosstrain Bakshi didn't make this movie, this is Rankin Bass. Just a heads up.

  • @JustamannamedWyatt I had to check and make sure, but you're right, however, though Rankin/Bass did this one, they only did because Bakshi was going to leave the series unfinished, so we still have Bakshi to thank for it :P, good call though.

  • @TheBosstrain No problem. I love Bakshi, and I honestly wish he had been able to make the second half. I'd love to see what he would have done.

  • ..."Where there's a whip, there's a way!"...my boss has this on his door!...

  • 69 people got lashed.

  • @Hollywoodu360 I was gonna say 69 people don't wanna go to war today.

  • Just reading the books,this provides a great mental image. It's also catchy - ♪where there's a whip, there's a way♪

  • This is definitely how JRR Tolkien envisioned the story as he wrote it down!

  • Was definitely singing this down the hall to class and people looked at me funny...needa get with the program and watch some good movies...

  • The Black Army Choir, ladies and gentlemen!

  • "Get back in line you slugs!" says the man who looks like a slug.

  • the orcs look like toads lol

  • 69 people don't want to go to war today.

  • @Lunchebox But where there's a whip, there's a way!!

  • @Lunchebox

    & 1 Idiot

  • I love how it's a song of oppression but at the same time it has got sweet funk guitar

  • I should sing this before I go to work. Just replace "War" with "Work".

  • Starring Newt Gingrich as the whip master odd as he seemingly looks like him..lol

  • I feel bad for the orcs. They all look like they just woke up and sauron was like "I need you to go kill shit for the next 8 weeks".

Reminds me of my old boss.

  • In this book, at the road meeting baraddur uruk-hai are present to bully the marching orcs, while in this film, evil men substitutes the uruk-hais in the road meeting. In my assumption probably in the book, the evil men (Easterlings, Southrons) probably camped in Udun to avoid trouble with any orc or uruk regiment so they won't wasted their men.

  • dat funk....

  • I just realized.... there symbols are the sames as Xana (From code lyoko.

  • this song is quite catchy

  • Guess what?! I got a fever, and the only prescription is 10 hours of this!

  • @Eisenkreuzritter From your employer? :D

  • @Eisenkreuzritter Ahaha christopher walken became a tolkien crack addict

  • SUDDENLY Blacks.

  • For such ugly bastards, they sure do sing purdy.

  • @0BustyStClaire0 Their singing voices are a relic of their Elven heritage.

  • .....why am I dancing to this....? o.o....

  • appreciated upload

  • Devo totally ripped off this song, man.....

  • Sam:"You're just gonna let those man creatures go through OUR road before us Orcs?"

    Whipper:"Hey, yer right!"

  • they're not slaves, they're servants. and i'm pretty sure they enjoy what they do. judging by the enthusiasm orcs show for killing and such.

  • @mastercrowly They're the lazy hippie Orcs. That's why they're so behind the rest of the garrison. Really, they're just being melodramatic.

  • @mastercrowly

No they're slaves, the books pretty much say that the orcs hate Sauron above all others. Suaron doesn't use Cirith Ungol and the Black Gate to keep men out of Mordor but rather to keep the orcs in Mordor.

  • @zoor90 then why does he let them open it?

  • @mastercrowly The ones that man the gates are the trusted ones. Don't remember where I read it from, but those guys who you see in the Two Towers movie on the Black Gates are the conventional soldiers who also attacked Minas Tirith , the ones who you see in Mordor when Sam and Frodo sneaked in were the auxiliaries or reserves. Sauron ruled by fear, you saw how afraid people reacted to the Eye. Well so do the Orcs.

  • @mastercrowly duh that can be seen with that (They just hate war cause they have to fight with ALLIES instaed of just killing everything.)

  • @mastercrowly Yeah, but the don't like marching in the heat and sunlight.

  • what fo that dog be whuppin them other dogs fo?

  • @vantyapollo how else are you going to force creatures into a fight that will very well kill them.

  • so just because the hobbit wore orc clothes, they all think he's an orc? wtf is that logic. if i see a black guy wearing a polo, i still can tell he's black..

  • @mastercrowly Orcs come in all shapes and sizes, and hobbits weren't very well known

  • @doobiesmoke15 ya but in this video all the orcs are the same

  • Catchy

  • Pretty catchy

  • Brilliant. Lyrics?

  • A crack on the back says "we're gonna fight!".

"We're gonna march all day and night, and moooooore!!!"

  • This is too catchy for my own good.

  • Those men still would have won

  • when you think about it, sam is the one that does alot of the manual woek in the series

  • ahh.. Good old LOTR!!! XD i have the human version, and i liked when Pip said, to Aaragorn, "What about sencond breakfast?" and then Merry replied. "Pip, I don't think he ever heard of second breakfast.."

    me, "WHAT?!?!"

  • YES! My new theme song! ( I work at an S&M Bar)

  • i like how the orcs arent just completly mindless idiots, they actually have feelings and opinions.

  • I have vhs tape of this that I'm going to watch now. it's catchy tune !

  • I find that drumming sound in the background interesting and catchy.... I kidna like it!! :D

  • 3:46 3:52 funny how his nose went from black to grey.

  • SO MUCH REPEATED ANIMATION

  • This has been stuck in my head so long that I'm afraid I will start to like this song :(

  • so the orc are not evil?

but forced? i feel sorry for them

  • @FmaScar They're probably still evil, but would rather not march off to war for Sauron, especially since they wouldn't get much out of it all.

  • they sing good for monsters

  • Their eyes don't move!

  • Anybody know where I can find an instrumental version of this?

  • Comment removed

  • The songs are what was missing from the movies (Peter Jackson).....If they do the same to live action version of the hobbit I'll be a sad panda.

  • @JonGee420 Thankfully, Jackson's confirmed that more songs will be included in the Hobbit.

  • @KingxNothing1 YeS!!!!! THey were in the book, so they better be there lol

  • Who knew that oces can sing. we don't want to go to war to day.

  • I have this on my iPod. YEAH!

  • I love how these ugly ass fuckers have beautiful full voices. COGNITIVE DISSONANCE!!!

  • @crapparc Their singing voices are a relic of their elven heritage.

  • It's so bad it's good.

  • ...Peter Jackson wins.

  • if you got to play music like this when you go marching i'd join that army which is a better marching song this or girl worth fighting for from Mulan

  • @Ontarioku77 BE A MANNNN!!!

  • @t3amtomahawk that's more a training / montage song

  • @Ontarioku77 This is more realistic, girls won't be on your mind as much as you regreating joining the army or being draft into it.

  • The easterlings in this movie look like Huns.

  • I've been listening to songs from The Hobbit and Return of the King all afternoon, but I avoided this one. I knew that, once I heard it, it would be stuck in my head for days.

Then the pressure got to me. Failtality.

  • I feel bad i cannot compair ROTK to anything......ohhhhh the Rakan Bash version i'll just compare those 2 then. "Where there's a whip, there is a way, where there's a whip"Jackson Version! .

  • @TheNumba1shadowfan Yeah, yeah, you watched Nostalgia Critic, all right, the song still rules.

  • @ResurrectedTemplar I do like the song, just this version of ROTK sucks arse

  • I use to LOVE this song when i was a kid when it was aired on network televsion.

  • Corrected Comment:

I used to frequently sing this song in my head at a previous job. Just substitute "work" for "war", "fight", and "march" in the song and it becomes an appropriate workplace tune if you're working for jerk slavedriving bosses.

  • I used to frequently sing this song in my head at a previous job. Just substitute "work" for "war" in the song and it becomes an appropriate workplace tune if you're working for jerk slavedriving bosses.

  • It's sort of weird that it makes the bloodthirsty orcs now look sympathetic since they openly declare they don't want to go to war, but feel as if they must. The song is actually kind of catchy. Only 1 problem. It's in a Lord of the Ring's movie. I just don't think of Orcs singing in a Lord of the Rings movie, it just doesn't sound right. The song should have been used in another movie.

  • We don't wanna go to war today, but the Lord of the lash says nay,nay,nay!...I loved this when I was a kid!

  • I loved this song when i watched this movie when i was i kid

  • I'm gonna get this song stuck in my head sometime, I know it.

  • great movie great song

  • Clearly this is not Sauron's Army. This is obviously Ganon's Army. Look at them, they look like Moblins. xD

  • If this had been in the Peter Jackson films at any point, i would have ended my life right there and then.

  • @Tomading

Well, maybe Sauron would have won the war with singing Orcs, because the armies of Men and Elves would have laughed themselves to death ;-)

Just imagine you are a soldier of Gondor waiting in Osgiliath for Mordor's army and then these guys come along: "Where there's a whip, there's a way. Where there's a whip, there's a way." Maybe joined by the Witchking si
