Dre's are nice, but the M50's beat them on clarity. On bass amplification in the 50-70hz range the Beats are definitely best in class, but every other frequency range the M50 has perfectly down. Plug in the AT M50s into an amp and you can feel the bass actually shivering your skull while everything else is just as beautifully clear. Nothing beats these once given a proper source. :)
