F150 Raptor hitting the trails

these trucks cant be beat in baja or mud but what i do (4x4 trails in the rockies) these are too wide. so i went out and bought a toyota 4runner trail for that. but i really hope since ford is kill the ranger that they bring in a truck to compete with the tacoma and do the same kind of thing as this, i would buy one of those in a heart beat, PS i still want to buy one of these just because they are so bad ass.

@buggy4truck4 LOL! THE CHEVY SHIT-10 ZR2 EQUIVALENT TO A RAPTOR? My stock 4x4 Ranger has more balls than a ZR2 buddy. I know this because I have pulled my friends out of the mud on several occasions. And guess what? Hes always working on it too because its a chevy and thats how you keep a chevy on the road. The Raptor has special traction control, a unique 4x4 system, costom fox shocks and suspension, and a flexible frame, unlike the box frames that develop stress cracks on chevys.

@Fx4Ranger2002 i know all that. i saying the raptor is to big to be doing trails like this. Since the closes thing to it in its design would be a ZR2. Off road suspension, wider then stock, higher then stock, bigger tires then stock, different chassie then stock. im not saying its an identical match up put. But rather the raptor is a new more advance version. By the way. i wouldnt pull much with that fx4 shit. its geard for MPG not towing. if it was a 4x4 not a fx4 that would be different.

@buggy4truck4 My truck is a Ford Ranger Fx4 its a 2002. Its the early version of the level II version that they later made between 2003-2007. Its got 31'' all terrains, stock offroad suspension, stock skidplates, stock heavy duty tow hooks, a tow package with a 5500 max towing capacity. And a beefy 4.0L V6 which way outpowers the ZR2's 4.3L vortec by the way. The 4.3L vortec has about 190 horsepower where the 4.0L in my Fx4 has 240hp with a cold air intake and dual exhaust out the back

@buggy4truck4 The ZR2 is no wider than a 2wd s10..its the same truck just with fwd and oversized tires. All trucks that are 4x4 capable have a suspension system made for offroading more so than a truck that is only 2wd. I personally think ZR2's along with blazers look really cheesy and cheap. My friend has a ZR2 and my cousin has a blazer and ive heard and seen only negative things. Their 4x4 is unreliable, their frame isnt as wide as the explorers or rangers which means less interior room

@allthewayii with there not being alot of desert where you live i would recommend some good mud terrains. maybe the Nitto Mud Grappler? the stock A/Ts have this issue with getting all caked in mud and not performing
